@@Shyfoxx I do got a quick question Would it be idea to start your drawing off with vector lines or regular sketch lines or is it just preference I understand the difference between each other I just don't know what people prefer the mosts
@Shyfoxx2 жыл бұрын
Vector layers are ideal for things where you may want to adjust the lines after drawing them. For example changing the brush type and size, picking up a line to move it and resizing (scale up) without losing quality. You could sketch with a vector layer, but I personally wouldn't, it's designed to be used for solid lines not soft sketchy ones. I find the eraser to specifically doesn't work as intended with sketches on a vector layer. So some experimenting and you'll get the idea. You can also look into some of my recent line art specific tutorials as they demonstrate and explain a lot about vector use. 👍

When you draw Link (or any other known brands) and sell them, how does it work with copyright of the brands?
@Shyfoxx Жыл бұрын
Selling licensed characters like Link is copyright. Anyone doing it is taking a risk. Each artist needs to get informed about copyright to decide if and how much risk they are willing to take as being negligent won't hold up as an excuse if action against them is taken. Many do choose to do it, think of artist alleys at comic cons. Definitely do some research of your own to learn more about copyright.

I bought CSP like 1,5 years ago (it was on quite a discount at that time) and never really found motivation to work with it. But now, as i plan to start streaming myself i may use it for creating my own emotes. Your video will help me a lot, thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us! But one thing comes constantly to my mind when i see purchaseable emote packs like yours on etsy that refer to games, shows, etc.... how do you deal with copyright and license issues? are self-drawn emotes of e.g. game characters like Link really okay? Or can the company that owns the rights for a certain character sue you?

Glad the video is helpful! Selling fanart is copyright. Anyone doing it is taking a risk. Each artist needs to get informed about copyright to decide if and how much risk they are willing to take as being negligent won't hold up as an excuse.
