Here's a bit of context: Friendlyjordies is a journalist/political blogger in New Southwales/Australia. He revealed a lot of corruption in the regional politics, pissed off some politicians, the gambling lobby and possibly the mafia, for revealing how easy it was to launder money in local casinos. Recently, his neighbours house and then his were firebombed, very likely by one of the people his journalistic work pissed off. Luckily, he happened to not be home at that time.

Ok, so for anyone wondering, Jordan Shanks, the guy who's house got fire bombed, he's an Aussie political KZbinr and he's kind of a big deal. He once made a video on the victorian deputy premier, the second most powerful human in the state government, so damming that the dude tried to sue him for defamation so hard he dropped out of politics to focus on the case; which he then lost if I recall correctly. He's not prefect by any means but the guy has some serious clout down under.

Paintball guns are no joke. If you get struck by your standard-issue paintball on a part of you that is not padded (as one might be for an actual paintball game), it WILL hurt, and it WILL leave welts and bruises. That's why there are rules and enforcement for those rules at reputable establishments for barrel plugs, goggles, and so on. I do not play paintball, but I did learn a bit by reading a webcomic called "The Whiteboard," which (mostly) takes place at a shop in Alaska that services paintball equipment.

I used to play paintball as a teen. I don't remember a lot of the specifics, but the paintball guns were not created equal. You'd run into some rich kid who had the best paintball gun on the market, tricked out and shooting balls at an insane rate. Even with work coveralls I'd end up with a bunch of welts. So, bravo to them for going t-shirts and bare skin. It's not THAT painful. But like anything it's all anticipation and dread. Plus the masks aren't perfect. Those balls are not like bullets, they curve in unpredictable ways. Once shot a kid in the lower face cause it managed to curve from center mass to up and beneath his mask.

That's just self-made turret with rubber balls. But how about shooting a moving objects without id-recognition markers, like if labs in Fallout series? With real 5mm or 5,56mm bullets. Also, people sh*t themselves when video with quadcopter with gun were released. And now quadcopters are used in my country as recon and infantry bombardment equipment. Pretty efficient, not gonna lie.
