Speaking of the hurricane plane video, and for Lily and those of you who’s curious: iirc, the Hurricane Hunter flights all started because a couple pilots were talking, and one of them dared the other to fly into an approaching hurricane. Next thing you know, someone else realized that the act would be a great way to gather data on hurricanes.

@@couragew6260 yep! Looked it up so I made sure I wasn’t blowing smoke up everyone’s buttholes, and yes, on 27 June 1943, USAAF Col. Joe Duckworth was dared to fly into a hurricane’s eye while serving as a flight instructor in Texas. He did so, and that was the first time ever completed, much less attempted, such a feat.

From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh... It disgusted me. I crave the strength and certainty of steel. I aspire to the purity of the blessed machine. Your kind cling to your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call a temple will wither and you'll beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved... For the machine is immortal. Even in death I serve the Omnissiah.

5:00 we had one of these laser rulers when i was a kid, my dad bought it for A LOT of money just because... never needed or used it for work, just bought it for his own damn enjoyment... explains why my mom was always crying herself to sleep when i was young. 2:43 I'll give an explanation on how he did that: the reason why he can do that is because of his mind and muscle connection(mind and muscle connection is self explanatory), mind and muscle connection is widely used by the gym community to concentrate on the muscle they are working on, beginners used to touch the muscle they are working and concentrate on the muscle(works too if others touch the muscle you are working on), you can see examples of things like him on Mr Olympia and aesthetic bodybuilders

The guy at 10:18 has absolutely handled horses before, quite a bit I'd think. The way he stays completely smooth as the horse takes off and he's just dragging along, and the fact that he doesn't have the lead wrapped around his hand = both signs of knowing what's up. Horse is definitely more powerful than us, but it's really awkward to have to run while dragging an extra 170 pounds from your face, so it'll tire quick enough.

Flying Fish can glide unusually long because they are so close to the water. By flying low to the surface, the surface blocks one direction the air can escape from. So air stays under the wing a little longer for extra lift

There are a lot of homes in Florida where people have converted their garage into more living space, but don’t remove the garage door, because it’s a huge pain to get permits and such, so they leave the door, and can park their car inside in case of a storm. The recent hurricane missed me, but I still got some wind and rain from it. Not as badly as the Gulf Coast got it, though.

Tiny microscopic needles are at the end of the bigger needles and when you try pulling it out, it pulls on the skin and flesh cutting the flesh around where the needles were. I’ve fallen into a cactus once and it was horrible but wasn’t as bad as glass cutting into my arm when I was younger. If I had just been a bit more scared then most of my injuries would have never happened. Breaking my arm was pretty bad too but after half a day it felt great especially being able to sleep with a comfortable cast on a soft bed since my parents actually cared about much more than I even needed which is never a bad thing 😊… except for the fact that they called my school to have my classmates help me with stuff which sucked because I disliked most of them, I was also introverted, and had social anxiety which was surprising because I never had anxiety to anything else.
