@@Kopie0830 hmm. I never put the two in similar categories so I never thought of it that way. I am decent at monster hunter but get anxiety against dark souls bosses. I don't know why.

@@sirskeevs4766 Most probably because, in truth, Dark souls is way harder and enemy attacks are less predictable. You can block in Monster hunter with a shield for like the whole battle and just need a little time to recharge. You are immune for a second if you panic jump. In dark souls, if you block, your guard usually breaks after 4 hits. And dodging immunity is far quicker. But if you are wise, you can beat dark souls easily by: 1. Use range attacks. Magic, bows, exploding bombs etc. Magic is overpowered in any souls game. 2. Increase, life, defense and block resistance. 3. Get healing spells if you can. 4. The really hard part in dark souls is unblockable attacks or area wide attacks. That's what you need to watch out for. 5. The good thing with dark souls is that you can experiment if attacks can be parried or not. Parry is actually the easiest way to cheese the game. If you can master it, you have beaten 80 percent of the game since most attacks can be parried. Good luck.

Reminds me of the time I first played Undertale. Instead of talking things out and following what the NPC's say I immediately went on the genocide route thinking of it like a normal RPG with a bit more freedom. The very fist time I played a souls game was dark souls 3, I picked deprived because I liked the stat spread since I didn't know what my build could be yet beat Gundir first try, then kicked a guy off a cliff, killed some dogs, then died to some knightly boi's and killed the big dog, died to a cauldron, beat the frosty doggo, killed some crowitches, and gave up halfway through the swamp cuz I couldn't navigate it for shit XD funnily when i went and tried to start with a knight I lost 4 times to gundir XD Never used a shield at any point cuz it just locked me in death p.s. I know no-one asked or cares but still :P
