No too bad! When Mum and Dad took my brother and me to to live at Meall Mhor on Loch Fyne in 1954 it was in a DIY sidecar attached to a Brough Superior that Dad had for a wee while. Still have a few pictures of it lying around somewhere.

I've only been playing for about two weeks now and I chose the Scruggs style but I enjoy listening to all banjo music. Claw hammer seems interesting to me as well. Perhaps if I can get good at this 3 finger style I'll try that next. Wonderful music.

Thanks, Guy! I was reading this the other day and thought you'd like it... I studied enough Gaeilge (Irish) to learn the "Sí" or "sídhe", both pronounced "She," are the fairy people and (I guess) by extension the "fairy hills" where they live. "Mor" means big and (amusingly) "beag" means "little." I bet they wish they had banjos to celebrate themselves so nicely! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aos_S%C3%AD
