I had the original version installed in my White's Fusion in 2012 and it sadly drastically cut down on my mobility. Are the newer versions of the system much more flexible? I'm trying to see if there is any way of getting some of my mobility back as I can't put my arms in front of me nearly as much or move my shoulder up near my head. This makes it difficult to read my gauges (both wrist and spg) since I'm so restricted. I'd undo the whole thing, but that costs just as much and they needed to cut a bunch of the drysuit away to install the ring.

Hi Brian. The neck ring should nor restrict movement like that and we have not had this problem before. It may be that the suit is just to small for you in that area or there is not enough space for your undergarment to allow flexibility. We have found that the newer style rings are not really that much more flexible than the new styles which is why we've stuck to Necktite which has a smooth top side where it attaches to the suit so the installation is less likely to leak. I'm not at all a fan of the Fusion though and working on them is so tricky which may be why they are needing to cut whole sections away to replace the ring. If the suit fabric were decent it would be an easy job. Anyway, I wouldn't do that because I don't think it would solve your problem. Sorry but I'd rather look at a different drysuit with decent fabric.

@@blueflash_cape thanks for the reply and expertise!! Agree that the larger of my two dry suits restricts less with the rings, but still definitely prevents me from putting my arms out in front of me (the equivalent of putting my arms / shoulders near my ears when in trim) as they push right up against the rings.
