I won't compare her voice to anyone else because she is so unique. She may be performing what is accepted as pop music, but her vocal style is closer to a soul or jazz singer. I've never seen such emotion put into each word. I love the lyrics too because they're fresh, unpredictable. I first noticed her with Zero 7, and I was completely blown away by her vocal style then. I love the range, the emotional power, and I gotta say, the facial and body expressions, all of the delivery. The use of simple backup with cello is just perfect. I'm addicted to this song. I could hear it over and over. Absolute perfection. I find her irresistible. What depth, she blurs all the lines to create something entirely new and beautiful.

I couldn't agree more. I've seen her twice with Zero 7 2005/6. She stood out, so out there but vulnerable. No one else with her delivery and such soul. Always loved her during her earlier years before she went pop. Guess it was about money making.. maybe her natural progression.. cannot blame her....but still miss the original Sia.

Sia is probably the most genuine artist I have ever heard in my life, I can hear it in her voice, in the way she moves, and the way she looks. She's an inspiration. Her quirkiness is infallible and her emotion she pours into every song is so heartfelt.
@TRUTubeKY3 жыл бұрын
She definantly falls into the Janis Joplin, Etta James, Anne Wilson category of completely timeless and authentic when it comes to female vocals. Simply amazing!

Just proof that the greatest singers will never get the recognition they deserve. I have NEVER seen Rihanna, Beyoncé or Taylor sing something like this to show their vocal skills. Imagine one of them singing something like this at the Grammys it would forever be all over the news as one of the greatest performances of all time by a female. But because Sia doesn’t cause controversy or date a billionaire rapper, let’s just sweep her under the rug. So sad she’s amazing and one of the best.

Been a long time since found music sung from the core of your being. Like Janis, Amy, such a gift their music to us. Sia is an artist, another Picasso of music. Her sense of humor is visually a delight. She does not show her face now, as the art is at focus, not the money hungry ,overly sexualized music. She doesn't want to play that game of fame. Thank you very much!!! Just listen that's what music is about.

but the song is much older actually, its off of simple thing by zero 7 in 2001, which means it was probably recorded in 2000.. so if you where born when this song came out youd be at max 15, generally generations are like 15 to 20 yrs.. Either way she makes great music still, just different than before . Zero 7 had the best singers on all their albums I strongly recommend. And if you like this version of Sia get Lady Croissant
