Singer-songwriter turned director Sia sat down with HFPA journalist Barbara de Oliveira Pinto to discuss her directorial debut, Music, which she co-wrote with author Dallas Clayton and stars Maddie Ziegler, a frequent collaborator, as the lead. They discuss the challenges of telling stories about neuro-atypical characters, the trauma in her life, adopting two sons, what inspired her to turn away from fame, enabling the dreams of others, and more.

Sia continues to amaze me. I don't see her as this famous hollow figure. She is someone who has found a way to maintain a level of anonymity and yet she doesn't feel a stranger to me. Her songs speak to me on a different level. I have a emotional attachment to her lyrics with almost a physical visceral reaction. I also had never heard of attachment theory which explains so much about my past and present life. Keep doing what makes you happy and healthy Sia❣

omg, she's one of the inteligentiest people in the world!!! she's inspires me. i totally agree with the afirmation she made "with the technology and social medias everybody's able to be famous", but in fact, I don't know if I would support the fact that I'd have more money in the life that, in fact, I could spend (like her), I'm felling kinda scared about that, because she looks like "oh, im rich, mother and voilá: c'est fini, i can die now"... I do hope she keeping doing her therapy, It would be a gigant lose for the world
