Under the glow of the very bright lights I turn my face towards the warm night sky And I am not afraid of a thousand eyes When they're above five hundred smiles Oh I used to think (she used to think) What wouldn't I give (what wouldn't she give) For a moment like this? (For a moment like this?) This moment this gift Oh, now look at me and this opportunity Is standing right in front of me But one thing I know it's only part luck and so I'm putting on my best show Under the spotlight I'm starting my life Big dreams becoming real tonight So look at me and this opportunity You're witnessing my moment, you see? Now I find myself here, and it's time Yes this is real, and it's a gold-mine I'm not afraid to fly When it's above five hundred smiles Oh I used to think (she used to think) What wouldn't I give (what wouldn't she give) For a moment like this? This moment, this gift (for a moment like this?) Oh, now look at me and this opportunity Is standing right in front of me One thing I know it's only part luck and so I'm putting on my best show Under the spotlight I'm starting my life Big dreams becoming real tonight So, look at me and this opportunity You're witnessing my moment, you see? People are spoon fed so much crap from Hollywood, that they don't know a good movie from the garbage. This movie was excellent. They embraced the characteristics from the original and made it modern to fit our time. It's the same story. I think the updated songs were awesome. I even had a little "dust" in my eye when Annie sang Opportunity. Jaime Foxx, Cameron Diaz, and the entire cast did an excellent job with this film. Sorry you didn't get your fill of Rape and Blood or plain stupidity in this film. It is a nice change to see a family film and it be just that. I went in thinking I was going to be bored watching this movie with my daughter. It was a pleasant surprise to say the least.

I cried and sang and cried and sang some more! It was definitely my "Feel Good Movie" of the year! I started the year off on a positive note. I also noticed and appreciate how they changed a lot of the verbiage in this film, versus the other versions. The children are referred to as Foster Children, rather than Orphans. It was just good all the way round; then to learn she was 6 at the time of filming. I consider it exceptional! I realize many feel this child should sing like Barbara Streisand or Whitney Houston! For the love of God, she was 6 and can only get better. As for auto tune, it enhances, Do we vilify women who wear make-up? No we do not; makeup is also an enhancer. Lighten up on children. Many of you are Cyber Bullies. She reads this material and we would not want to cause her any hurt nor harm. Love heals and understanding prevails! Let us learn to accept our differences as blessings, rather than a curse. After all, God loves the little children. Why not we. Isaiah 11:6 NIV The wolf will live the lamb, he leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together, and a child will lead them all. Let us all be mindful of how we treat others, especially our precious little ones! ~Peace and Love #ActualizeYourDreamsIn2015!

Jodie Cooper i sort of had the same problem, except it was my mom even though i doubt she remembers today. Im from Mexico, learned English and moved to the US. Oh and currently learning Italian & French. Age: 14. My dream is to become an actor/special effect makeup artist. I would love to go to New York and France for school. So i told my mom and she said "U have to accept reality. Your dream is impossible." I got really disappointed, I mean how can my own mother no believe in me. However, i ignored her comments and currently working hard to make the impossible possible.

KingVamp 101 thanks so much for your wonderful comment. And you seem like you have your whole future already planned and ahead of you. That's awesome. I hope you you achieve more and more things in life. You seem like a great person. I'm still trying to achieve my goals. Although it's been getting a little hard lately. I'm 17 and I'm a junior. And I'm still trying to believe that i can do anything that's possible. But then......there was this new teacher that came to my school here in Missouri. And even though we didn't even do much work in there she had already given me a big fat "F" and i just broke down in tears wondering what i did. And then the teacher emails my mom saying "your daughter is gonna fail my class no doubt" and to hear that come out a teacher's mouth is heart breaking. But i didn't let that stop me for a while. Soon i brought that letter F up to a C and she didn't say anything to me when she saw that my grade had moved up when it shouldn't have been an F in the first place because i had turned in all my work. But all i could do was smile to myself and pat myself on the back. But anyways enough of my story lol. You keep on achieving the work that your doing. Keep your head up. And don't let anyone tell you that you can't do the impossible.

Jodie don't worry. Teachers and other people may say things and hurt your self confidence but at the end YOU are the one who needs to judge yourself and it's your opinion that matters. Also piece of advice - find someone supportive around because this influences your grow a lot and it's good to have someone on your side ;) COngratulations on your C :)
