SuperSamrai She has an upper register. Just because she breaks as she ascends doesn't mean it isn't there. It does lack support, but she still knows how to hit extremely high notes. So many people trash Sia's technique, but it isn't even that bad. Overall, her technique is above average as she is very strong in her low and mid range and has near perfect technique in these areas. A lack of support and strain in the high upper register is only one flaw. And besides, Sia is undeniably powerful, has perfect pitch and tone, and is very emotive. The point of my original comment was to say that her voice breaks aren't due to strain or damage from singing. For the most part, her vocals are safe. She isn't classically trained and she strains, but she is very careful to not tire out her voice and is very conscious of her vocal health. She always tones down her live performances and constantly consults a vocal coach, even going as far as bringing one on tour. Sia's voice is technically flawed, but her overall power and talent, in my opinion, is impressive. But my point is that she isn't damaging her voice very much at all. She has been singing this way for 20 years with minimal degradation and no vocal surgery.

Skyler Is Stuck On A Lift Hill one word, SOHYANG. That is the definition of perfect technique and upper register. Come back to me when sia reaches sohyang or even Beyonce technique because sia isn't anywhere near them. They are considered star level vocalist with the likes of Whitney, Mariah and patti. Sia is considered a C vocalist.

Whilst this is true, Mariah in her prime was excellent at performing all of these. Her voice would crack a lot due to nodules. Xtina still sound great in her mid range. Shame we haven't heard much from Sia lately.

To be honest that song is incredibly hard to sing. Especially if you want to add the intentional breaks. So it wouldnt be smart for her to sing it in the original key everytime she sang it. Her voice is already damaged from the alcohol and her technique. But she's still amazing as always

Unfortunately, the chorus of the song is not sung live on the original key in that clip. It's partly lipsynched. The only real live performance in the original key is the carpool kareoke.

She indeed used to lip syncing the chandelier in original key those days, but this performance was real for some reason!
