This is shotokan karate, the style I do :) the first Kata is called “enpi” and the second is called “kankudai” then she spars for a bit, and last kata she does is called “heian sandan” the first two are black belt katas and the last one is typically learned at blue belt. Very impressive. It took me ten years to get my black belt and the fact that her katas are very fierce at that age is beyond incredible.

Some people just dont get Sia. Some people think of her as a one hit wonder because of the song "chandelier". And that is a good thing. Sia doesnt like to be overwhelm with fame, she likes to not have as much fame. She knew that people nowadays care about looks, so she would rather show her music not her face. She is an amazing artist

Her music videos are not very entertaining. but that's the point! the videos are her vision of her songs, she's not trying to sell us a music video full of color, visual effects and sex (unlike other artists). she's trying to open her heart to us. it's personal. it's not music for the eyes

+Jon Cruz It saddens me to hear people say things like this, and the worst is you're serious about it, it means the only thing that one can watch now and be called entertaining it's not a performance but just a bunch of pretty people or movie like effects. You realize these kids are doing the performance of their lives right here in this video and you're just calling it boring? Just shows us what we've become.
@amoryking10319 жыл бұрын
+Jon Cruz I agree that the videos are personal, and that she is opening her heart to us.... but the girls in the video are doing the exact same: it's a collaboration of artists. Each video is a performance, a story being told told through song, as well as motion, movement, setting, color, feeling. I had a real issue accepting her newest album being a fan of Sia's earlier work. It was so different and when it went mainstream, I was worried that the meaning, the emotion behind her songs would get lost... especially when you could tell her heart was bleeding through her earlier work (whether or not you've followed her work since the beginning, you've heard "Breathe Me" - that song can be example enough of what I mean). But then these videos were released. She proved to the world that she could do all three: sing her OWN pop songs (as she has written so many for other people), get them played by millions AND keep the "art" of it all.

I don't get why everyone is complaining about the video. It's not boring at all and saying things like 'she isn't talented' is so cruel. Look at this girl. She's full of energy and her moves are perfect. Just remember how old is she. Maybe 8? Full of determination at such a young age. I bet a lot of you haters couldn't do theese moves after her but you keep saying lame things. She could defenitely kick the living soul out of everyone.
@Skyebright19 жыл бұрын
Agree it's unfair to compare her negatively to Maddie and say you want Maddie back. Sia wanted a child martial artist not a dancer for this video and it was her choice to do that.

There is no songs in the world is with deep meanings like this song, and all Sia's songs have a deep meaning about real things in life more important than love, all the other singers sing only about love, and they dont care to sing about things more important in life, like war and diseases and struggling and voilence, like Sia does.
