Ayelet Gundar-Goshen, born in 1982, studied psychology in Tel Aviv, later film and screenwriting in Jerusalem. She has already received numerous awards for her short stories, screenplays and short films. For her first novel, "One Night, Markowitz" (2013), she received the prestigious Sapir Prize for Best Debut; in 2015, she followed that up with "Waking Lions", her second novel, which is being filmed as a TV series for NBC. "Where the Wolf Lurks" (2021) is currently her latest novel. Ayelet Gundar-Goshen lives and works as an author and psychologist in Tel Aviv.
