Nice project! I have had great print success with the same 8K machine. Only problem was really too good adhesion to the build plate. I use Blue Cast X-one. So far it’s been the best castable resin I’ve used.

Thank you! Yea, I've heard the same issue about the build plate really holding on. I'm gonna be trying some Blue Cast next!

Where you grabbed the blue cast at ? Their website has nothing for sale

Excellent result! I'm still well within the limitations of my 2K resin printer, but it's good to know that 8K and beyond will be waiting when it comes time to upgrade.

Thank you! The 8K is great for fine detail but a 2K printer will still do really nice work. I still plan on using mine regularly 😁

Honest question. Why would you physically carve out a ring band when you could just make it in a 3d modeling software?
@GraceNoteForge Жыл бұрын
Because at first, I only intended on making a shield signet ring. After I made the ring, I decided I wanted to do more to it and then added the lion head. If I were to do this design again though, I would probably just model everything in 3D
@shinigamisecret Жыл бұрын
@@GraceNoteForge when you create a ring in blender that's going to be printed on a resin printer how accurate can you be with your measurements? I.e a size 10 ring is 19.7mm in diameter,
@noviceartisan Жыл бұрын
@@shinigamisecret you can be accurate to submicron level if you really want to.
@noviceartisan Жыл бұрын
@@shinigamisecret the only issues you'll face with it are calibration of your printer to get it perfectly dimensionally accurate (not that tough a thing) when printed, they're only accurate to 22um for the Sonic 8k series of printers. And the standard shrinkage from the investment you use and the metal itself. Basically, you'll print the ring oversized by a percent or two to compensate for the final dimensions of the piece

If you use the anti aliasing you can cut the layer visability quite a bit

I would like to see that as a mold and the lost wax process for that in silver. Good Job. My goal with one of those is for Dental Creation in Dental Quality material. I think it could help others after I get more experienced and funded.

Hi Looks good why from chitubox would the model show on the phrozen printer in a ctb file but never pull up the printer ready button?
@vitastikinashvili71719 ай бұрын
Hello. Could you share the printing settings in Chitubox, Siraya Tech purple castable resin, even though I have blue resin, I think the same settings might be suitable. Phrozen Sonic Mini 8K printer, bought a month ago. This is my first 3D printer, I have no experience. I’m already using my second liter jar and not a single model has turned out. I downloaded the profile on the Siraya website, but it didn’t help. I bought resin from another manufacturer that was not casting. Everything was printed the first time, with the manufacturer's profile. The lion's head was beautifully printed by you. On your website you showed the settings for Elego Mars. Thank you in advance.

I don't understand how the air is sucked in or the plaster cast has no holes in the lower part which is attached to the vacuum pump

Under a microscope, investment is really porous (like a sponge), so air can be forced through.

Yep! I used the same burnout cycle for both.

That's what I've heard. I'll have to give that one a try sometime.
@noviceartisan Жыл бұрын
@@GraceNoteForge To note too, when you see the rapid burnout schedule, that's typically based on 1-3 pieces in a quite small flask, so the heat gets through a lot faster. With larger or more full flasks you need to compensate. I noticed the same thing when switching from smaller flasks to the huge ass ones I use when doing mass production. More mass means more time needed adding, in my case quite a lot 😅 I think I use something like 2.6kwh to heat a space that's a bit outside the peak for that, even with the excessive insulation I've added to the build to help keep the heat in :) So adding a bunch of tall wide flasks really affects the timing a fair bit. Typically means an extra few hours soaking at 730c.

Now that you are using a printer. You can charge less for the jewelry. You don't have to spend so much time on the pains taking details. You didn't have to work so hard.
