Hello. No stone was broken. Yes you can cast the stones, it is a fairly common practice in jewelry, but the stones you use have to be those that resist extreme heat and after casting you have to wait for the cylinder to cool gently until it reaches ambient temperature, thermal shock has to be avoided. Amazing how modern technology can help with making of such beautiful pieces of jewelry.. I wouldn't even begin to imagine how something like this would have been made "back in the day" before technology helped out... You, my friend are an amazing artist and your pieces of work are masterpieces.

Back in the day it wouldn't have been all that different, except instead of printing it you carve each link out of wax individually. I'd say an experienced wax carver could have that done in a day or two.

That helps when the price of gold or silver in this case increases...) But handmade jewelry like this takes quite a bit of time and labor to make. There is a difference between this type of work and mass produced items most "big" jewelry companies offer

The flow is so clean its ridiculous.. I've never seen a burnout done without a kiln before + the steel tipped syringe in place of a little smith torch is awesome. Mind blown 🤯 I was under the impression that castable resin required a much longer burn cycle. Wondering which type of plaster investment do you work with and is it also good for regular waxes? Thanks a Million for this video

Diamonds and sapphires can take a lot of heat, but I also wasn't expecting a cast in place with this one!

@@jgrizzle4166 it probably refers to the lab created gems of a highest hardness.. Lab stuff is without inclusions which can cause cracks and stone break. Goldsmiths do not take risk to cast with valuable, real stones, as to my knowledge.. At least, I won't take that risk. Too valuable to experiment with the possible result)))

Buenos días Pepe, la resina es casteable, y solo usé soplete para el recocido del cilindro y la fundición, la resina se comporta muy bien. Todas las piezas quedaron muy bien. Gracias por tu apoyo y comentario.

Buenos días Santiago, las piezas de resina cuando están frescas son flexibles e incluso se puede forzar un poco para que queden posicionadas las piedras, quizás estés dejando secar mucho tiempo las resinas y eso ocasiona a que no puedas colocar las piedras. Otra recomendación sería que muevas los parámetros como la potencia de la impresora recuerda que las resinas oscuras necesitan poca potencia, las resinas claras necesitan más potencia y también tienes que jugar con el tiempo de exposición quizás debas aumentar la potencia, también influye el ángulo que le des en el programa de laminado las uñas cambian notablemente de acuerdo a la posición, no queda otra que seguir practicando como todo en la vida la mejora es constante.
