I meant to comment this like 2 years ago (when I first found this video) but ended up forgetting 😅 BUT I’m back and will now comment the following: This was practically one of the first tutorials I watched when I just got procreate. I had a massive project due in a few months and was completely lost, but this video really helped me get my grounding. You basically helped me with the basics of Procreate, and some of the more “complex” tools. And in the end I gained a lot of knowledge and a cool art piece. So when I do clipping mask on my original layer for some reason the layer just disappears anyone know why it would do this? Alpha lock works fine

you should use clipping mask on a new layer that is above the original layer, so you are clipping the new layer to the original one. I hope it makes sense

I am trying to follow your instructions. However, I cannot fill the triangle with red color without filling the whole screen red. I have tried to make the lines thicker and continuous in forming the triangle, but still have not been able to fill only the triangle with red. What do you think the problem is? Thanks!

Please try to do this - when you are dropping the color into the shape, don’t pick up your pencil from the screen, but slide it to the left to change the colordrop threshold. You probably have it at 100%, and that’s why the color is flooding all the canvas, make it a little bit less than a 100 and it should be all good. Let me know if it worked

hi! I started exploring the Procreate app today and I was wondering why when I try to draw on the Clipping Mask layer, it won't show anything on the canvas, although the layer is not hidden and i follow every step shown in this video. It'll show what I've drawn in the Layers section, but not on the canvas. Anybody knows why?

when you draw on a Clipping Mask Layer you need to make sure that there is a shape drawn on the layer underneath it - and whatever you will draw on the Clipping Mask layer will be visible only on the area of that shape that is underneath it - I hope it makes sense :)
