TIna Fey's genius is definitely in her writing; I heard she tried to avoid appearing in skits. It wasn't until Sarah Palin that they forced her into the spotlight, and she wasn't really a regular performer. I thoroughly enjoyed Mean Girls though, and considering the fact that that it still persists in pop culture decades and generations later, must mean I am not the only one. I personally find Kate McKinnon the most valuable "modern" female cast member. Dratch & Poehler were okay, but I found Kristen Wiig to be the poster child for over-hyped. Every character was the exact same, with that painfully bland and awkward delivery.
