At times, I find that men do this because their point of departure in emotional arguments is to be very defensive. I define it as truly being okay with the conclusion- kum this comes when I feel heard, seen, validated and understood kulo argument. If that doesn't happen, I'll hold some resentment and pent up frustration which is likely to come out at some point.
