call me nostalgic but for me the sight of all the fancy KIA's SUV's + HGV lorry's everywhere (even in the "middle of nowhere") beautiful countryside Russia reminds me of my road trip across US where even the night is owned by the HGV, by journeys end making me despise consumerism- there seemed no escape even in fabulous desert roads like in Nevada , still there are some hidden gems (as is always the case) off the beaten track .thank you for uploading only a few more subs to get to the magic 5K subscribes then i, sure things will shift into another gear !! sponsorship etc safe travels Pavlin

In Russia we have a lot of places which are made specially for motorcycle travellers, it's so-called "bike posts". Usually these places are owned by motorcycle enthusiasts who wish to help other moto adventurers. It's a great opportunity to have a free place for rest and a great chance to have a nice company of other travellers (and sometimes laundry, tools or even help of welder and mechanic). In my opinion it's kinda better than a 20 euro room.

It's so sad that many people like yourself making their mind about different countries based on holiwood movies and state dictated propaganda. Russia changed massively while Putin is in power. the majority of the population is rather grateful.

@motorcycleadventureslive I was born and raised in Sibera. Western propaganda makes me laugh. Many people I know think there is 1m of snow all the year, and bears are running free in Moscow. It's beyond ridiculous. When you show them Moscow underground, they say its just one or two station to present it to the west.

I was in Russia in 2006 doing the Ladoga Trophy in a Land Rover 90 and really liked the place, I think things have progressed by now. St Petersburg is a beautiful city and the people friendly, although a little standoffish I also had a "A" frame tow-bar and they work really well. Watching this reminded me I didn't see enough of Russia, I was with a Polish guy who didn't really want to be there, he had a personal grudge, such a shame for me but enjoying you tour. We just got back form a trip the mountains in NW Thailand on our Enfield, 2 up, plus small luggage on a 350 was great fun. I must catch the rest of your trip.

@@ancient-raccoon That's for sure, I am getting on a bit in years now and not that free to travel. Most inquisitive people in the west know what is going on, FFS they even tried to kill the one US peacemaker. We, the informed, like and respect Putin and the courage of the Russian people. What fun! Observations: Interesting geology at the "wish pinnacle" climb" Blue paint must have been on sale in that last town. In Canada, the trans-national railway came 90 years before the trans-national highway. People built near the railway even before cars. There are now thousands of crossings across the network.

8:10 Funny, those block raisers at railway crossings... Is that a common feature of Russian railway crossings? First time I see that type of equipment. Looks like Russian road designers wanted to make 100 per cent sure that nobody goes through the railway crossing when the red light is blinking.

In Russia there is no concept of a forbidden territory, unless it is a military facility or a critical infrastructure facility, otherwise you can stay wherever you want. There are bans on lighting fires, but you can use burners with gas cylinders, but this is solely to avoid forest fires; in the last few years, summer temperatures in the country have risen to 30-35 degrees Celsius. if you want to know more about traveling to Russia in 2024/2025, write to me, it’s not difficult for me to find out everything completely free of charge 🙂
