What Monet said at 7:25 is so true. The bmi does not take into accountability that people (mostly bc of race and ethnic backgrounds) carry weight differently. If I went to the doctor they'd say I'm overweight for my size and age but I just have a naturally curvy body in which most of my weight is in my hips, thighs, etc. Same thing for all the women in my family.

Y’all gotta make sure to watch the “Under the Hood” for each of the season 1 episodes! It was the early version of Untucked and it can be a bit hard to find because it isn’t streaming officially anywhere, but the episodes are out there (in fact they might be on KZbin). Some truly unhinged and iconic moments happened in Under the Hood and unfortunately it’s all been kind of buried because barely anyone knows it existed.

Not Jessica from Nova Scotia… NS has thick black women AND a large native population. As a black/native Nova Scotia woman I need Monet to know that nova scotia is not full of skinny yt girls 😭😂 we also have a huge farm population here who eat a ton of meat/dairy so the yt girls are often very healthy!! But also agree the BMI bs is not good at all… I remember when i got Wii fitness and they weighed and measured me and created a person based on that and she looked way fatter than I actually am.
