The way Bob hit me in the chest with the comment about having a parent pass before another as a preparation of sorts is wild and thinking about it kinda spot on. My dad died when I was 12 (20 years ago), stepdad 5 years ago and mum died in March this year...as hard as it is I don't know how I would've handled it if mum was the first to go and I credit that to already having processed those feelings. Heart goes out to Bob, Caleb and anyone else there grieving the loss of a loved one.

When I had my c-section, I asked the nurse by my head if it was almost done. It was her first time assisting one and she said “They’re cleaning out your uterus before they put it back in and then you’ll be almost done! ☺️” I said “please don’t say that ever again.” 0/10 traumatizing experience would not recommend.

So true, I got diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome in February and the only people that have offered to or said yes to help me in some way shape or form, especially food were my broke friends. I've lost both of my parents before I was 40. On top of that, I lost everyone in my family except for my sister. Uncles, Aunts, a cousin, grandparents, you name it I lost it. All before I was 42. I never imagined I'd be in this situation. My grandparents lived well into their late 90's. I had to call my Nanny to tell her my Mom died! I was at both of my parents' 60th Birthday parties with my entire family. So, I thought I'd celebrate my 60th bday with my parents. I didn't even get to celebrate my 40th bday with them. I completely understand where Bob is coming from. It never gets easier, you eventually just get used to it and learn to live with the sadness & I try to tell myself that my family would want me to be happy. I saw well screw them they didn't have to go through this BS. Being an orphan at 42 SUCKS!
