Barry, Really enjoyed the video with Ryan eating the Sichuan style Chinese food. I applaud your openness to trying the various ingredients used in many of your dishes and very adventurous trying them. I am an American citizen of Chinese descent and would like to visit that eating establishment , because the food looks so delicious! Unfortunately, I live in Huntsville, AL and would not be a convienent drive. I live vicariously through your videos, as I watch you throughly enjoy the food that you are eating. I enjoy the "animal" noises you make when you are devouring the food. I am a tremendous "Foodie" and enjoy trying dishes from differnt parts of the world, and open to try new dishes. Keep on doing what you are doing and ignore the haters. I was told early in my life, that if you can't say anything positive to a person, best not to say anything at all! I am also a big fan of the use of hot sauce and apply it to just about everything I eat, it does accentuate the food and brings out another flavor profile to the dish. If more people like you would only be open to venture out of their comfort zone and explore the many unique and wonderful cultural dishes that are available to them. H. SooHoo

It was nice seeing Ryan with you today. It’s like 2 peas in a pod! I would definitely try something authentic but I would need to know the ingredients. Tripe, No! Honestly I am addicted to this channel knowing that it’s local reviews that I will never try. The food yes, but it’s more for the fun and personality. I love the fact that table manners and pigging off limits. Ryan, you were tearing because the temperature plus the heat got to you. I actually was tearing from laughing 😂! The slurping and sound effect, dripping from from the mouth, brain zing, are hilarious but the choker technique does scares me 😱. You dad looks so much like his mom and your Mary is a combination of both! I wonder how Mary feels about showing her snooty little girl face. Adorable and Ryan’s snooty face is okaaay😂. Thanks for all the laughs you have given me. There are days that I really need them. Until next time. Wishing you and all your family a blessed, holy Easter. 🪻💒🙏🏼

That looked really good--and authentic! Was waiting for the Grace to come out, but figured with Sichuan you wouldn't need it. I don't know all that much about Chinese food, but I'm told that texture is key to the experience; so that tripe and beef tongue foots the bill. Poor waiter--I can only imagine his reaction to Ryan putting hot mustard on a fortune cookie as he was delivering the check. 😂Another classic Goodall's Country Kitchen episode! Poor Ryan drinking the soup from the serving ladle, it must’ve been piping hot! My family usually gets white rice, and we put the food onto it so the rice soaks up the flavors- leftover rice with pepper sauces and such soaked into it gets put into the soup broth at the end and it’s amazingly rich and spicy. Dan Dan Noodles is my go to for Sichuan food! Another solid dish is the Twice Cooked Pork, which can pack a good kick and the pork in the broth is very easy to eat. And with Sichuan food its typically served family style. You'll see Chinese families passing plates around. So for someone dining solo or with only one person, just a serving on the appetzier alone can be quite large so keep that in mind.

Today I went to this restaurant and ate there because you reviewed this restaurant. Reading the google reviews, there are Chinese people that have eaten here stating this is authentic Chinese food. The menu has the American Chinese food then lists the Sichuan food. The service was fast and the food was hot. The food was good overall. I have no complaints about anything with my visit there. People don't know nothing about authentic Sichuan Chinese food until they have eat at the Sichuan house restaurant.

The reason most Chinese places have crab Rangoon is because it's expected, it's actually not an authentic Chinese recipe, instead it was created by a tiki bar back in the day and they sort of inherented it after tiki bars went out of fashion. Sort of like pupu platters.

This restaurant replaced a regular old typical Chinese American one that was at that location for years. It was nothing special, but this outfit is different! The front menu is Americanized Chinese food like the Chinese rail workers out west started serving up once they no longer had jobs building the Trans-Continental Railroad. You can get it at any take out Chinese restaurant and it's all pretty much the same menu. Everyone has their favorite "Chinese" restaurant and this one has replaced my old one for that type of food. The second half of the menu is the real deal. Food that Chinese visitors, from the Sichuan province of China, to the USA, would seek out as home cookin'. Lots of animal parts (like the stomach lining, called tripe here) that aren't eaten by many Americans. I've never eaten a better crab rangoon than the ones that they serve here. We get take out often, but I have to go to a different restaurant to get my wife's fried wontons. They don't sell them here because they make all their appetizers fresh daily and they already provide many others. They say it's a logistics thing. (Everyone that likes fried wontons, put pressure on them to start selling them, if you ever eat here! LOL) The two guys that work the counter and serve the food are two of the nicest most helpful wait staff that I've ever run into. Great restaurant, just needs fried wontons!
