the part about being sick & alone is so true! I was terribly sick while on a trip with my friends and what made it worse was the fact that my mom wasn't there to regularly check up on me making sure I had my medicine, hot drinks, food, etc. which I didn't appreciate enough until I didn't have it.

@@katieakin9397 i think the biggest thing for me is probably the idea of living in a small town? definitely not a feature unique to america, but based on my limited second hand exposure, as well as the way country music in particular has popularised this idea of the small town life, the suburban lifestyle has become something i heavily associate with america perhaps another aspect is her frequent thrifting~ thrifting was never a big thing where i'm from until it started gaining popularity online with largely american content creators posting about it it's not so much that halle explicitly highlights this but conversely, i think it's precisely how casually and and naturally this just is a part of her life that makes it feel so seamless and i guess to me, casually american but i'd love to hear what you have to think about this!!

@Makai Threads haha i think americans tend to be quite vocal about distaste for their own country which has opened my mind to a lot of blind spots so i definitely don't have the picturesque image i once had of it anymore but nonetheless, there's beauty to be found in lives everywhere, including america of course! :-)

I had a cold for like 3 weeks and i still am occasionally coughing some a month later. I literally hurt one of lungs or my ribs idk multiple times from coughing so hard and it was painful anytime i breathed and sometimes even moved it sucked. I think there is a bad cold going around right now
