I just wanted to note that some bands despite being 3 people do sometimes playback an extra guitar track from the studio version. That was what my band did when we played live.
@jickamangah10 ай бұрын
But that means you have to play to a click track which I personally detest (I'm a drummer)
@dreidoodles23219 ай бұрын
damn than that means the band is super tight with how they play to pull that off
@fpsoccer97919 ай бұрын
Yeah I get what you mean by that. It is rough, but our drummer doesn't mind and he helps keep the rest of us in time. We generally don't have an extra guitar track though because we tend to have a lot of time signature changes and BPM changes in our songs.

Tbh I prefer just letting the studio version be the studio version and the live version be the live version. My favorite band growing up was one that did a lot of elaborate instrumentation in their studio albums, but then their live performances were usually performed only as a three or four piece band. The music was just re-arranged to work with the sparser production, so sometimes it was quite different. In a way, the re-arrangement was just another aspect of expression. Now that I make my own music and record with a band, I find myself having the same mindset. I'm at peace with the idea of recording cool stuff in the studio and then adapting it to work live, even if it's not the exact same experience. Especially if I might be performing five or six instruments on the record. There's just no way to make that work besides a backing track.

The best song in the series. Fucking love those subtle time signature changes.
@Fluffy._.Doggo.12323 күн бұрын
I wish I were good enough at music to tell what the time signature was by ear. It definitely starts in 4/4 but doesn't stay there but for a few seconds
@IllegalsInMyYard122 күн бұрын
@@Fluffy._.Doggo.123 It goes to 3/4 on the second bar, then back to 4/4, if you mean the riff when the guitar plays at 00:25.

This is the best song in all of bocchi the rock. That bass, the guitar, the psychadelich rythm, the drums everything is done really well. It also shows just how good bocchi was because it expanded over simple "light" songs and went full rock.

I kinda always assumed that the song they play there was like a new song. That "lost child beckons me to a land of dreams" just seems to fit really well into the way that both kikuri and bocchi are and interact with one another.

True, but her true last performance was when she sang Mama Said with Dionne Bromfield in July 2011 just three days before her death. And a reminder if Kikuri keeps drinking like this, it WILL kill her, as the same thing happened to Amy.

@@LilKali420 I think the spin-off manga could hint at a potential recovery? Slight spoilers : It follows Hiroi's POV on the story starting from the begining and it came out around the same time as when we got to see sober Hiroi for the first time in the main serie. If I record correctly she did got drunk again soon after that, but who knows maybe they'll try start something from here...
