used to love this tank before the HE nerfs. it was also the tank I played for so long that taught me so much about the game. I spent so much time with it in frustration early on not understanding game mechanics that the derp allowed me to play and do damage. I eventually learned and spent even more time with it without the derp gun.

I recently marked this tank up to 96% and tried the Derp at first, too... But it was one of the most horrible marking experiences i ever had, so i switched to the 7,5cm gun! That worked good for me and made grinding the gunmarks quite enjoyable 😊

This is my replacement for the Hetzer. The Hetzer has such a limited gun traverse that makes it hard to aim except at close range. Plus it has poor view range. The PZ IV H has none of those limitations and allows me to get my "derp fix" when it's needed.

Nice One MrSkill I never played any of the derp guns in tier 4 to tier 6 (Stug's, Hetzer, VK's, KV's, T6/M4... you name them). I prefer to have penetration most time with standard ammo and have (at least a somewhat better) chance to hit targets at longer range What i liked in the 1.13 update in june 2021 is that HE only does "penetrate" directly in the path of flight. This hit the derp guns really hard. After the time the derpguns had and have their come back, fotunately not to the extend the derps had been in some matchmakings like before patch 1.13

Yeah, you're right, the HE nerf was nonsense, WG's attempt to explain their actions just came across as indefensible and silly. They were unable to explain their changes coherently, at least in English. Still, with intuition you can make the DERP guns work most of the time and at lower tiers reload is so fast it doesn't matter anyway.

Panzer 4H is an interesting machine that suffered from the "Nerf of explosives". At one time, he played 850 fights in a row on it. Now only Klym Voroshilov 1 with a U-11 gun and a 140 mm breaching ammunition remains. Already played 600 battles on it.

I marked this tank a few months ago with the derp, one of the most fun marking grinds I've had in the game, it is an amazing tank, I kept the crew for it and recruited a new one for the higher tier tanks. It's a really great tank to play to break a rough stretch of games :)

HE will not go through tracks and still penetrate. HE rarely even go through tracks because they have 3 times the armor vs HE compared to AP. 20mm wide tracks are 60mm.

My first or second? Three mark after HE nerf. The 110 never worked for me because the accuracy is quiet similar to derp gun. But that's just my opinion as a 12k games player. I kinda wanted to have the prem version of this because the tank is really nice looking but without the derp I didn't take the chance in buying and now I kinda regret it.

I disagree - AP are usefull if you know armor of low tier tanks because 105mm = overmatch for every armor under 35mm and you can find lot of them at V and lower tiers

to some extend you are right - the sometimes low armor. This counts even mor to the tier4 Stug and Hetzer using same gun as Pz.IV H. The overmatch is also relevant for HE so if you overmatch HE does more damage. and when you hit the right opponent in tier 3 with a 105mm HE...oucth .. see you in garage.

I.. recently had a battle with a vk 28.01 105 wich is a premium light tank with a derp gun, really fun to play and you wont believe this: after the battle a guy just talked to me in private just to say that i was spamming gold!! "i have 0 tolerance for gold spammers" and just blocked me.. i coudnt believe that, its like, what? im using credits for ammo, not gold, and some tanks are made to be used with their best ammo and you have to use it on certain situations like in when you are on tier VIII battles facing heavy tanks on the frontline. I can see skill4 used the best ammo for this tank derp gun, you know.. how much pen has a derp gun with regular ammo?! 60mm!! the vk 25.01 105 60mm!! you wont pen even a tier IV tank with that, seriously, i cannot believe it.. you have to use the correct ammo for the correct situation and you change beetween ammo with the intuition perk if you want to save credits, BUT some tanks are made only for their best ammo, like the isu-152 wich has double pen or the alpine tiger that haves good pen with its second ammo or the chrysler k wich is not really usable with the main ammo.

I used to love the derp guns till the he "rework" that rendered the he ineffective in most situations. Yes you can pen through the track now how ever if the enemy is angled the armor angle will now render he useless. Its once in a blue moon when the he works better than before. Most of the time when in the past you would be claiming the life of a lightly armored tank now the he is only effective against targets you can pen or you are close to the range of the penetration. Lets also remember that aiming for weakspot with derb cannons is almost impossible if the enemy has any brain. Only fv4005 and deathstar he derp really works because they are relatively accurate and have enough pen to go through most armor. The whole point was tho balance type5, kv2 and 60tp. Now those tanks dig in their pockets and sling gold just line the rest of the tanks. The non penetrating 600 damage derps to 279e and bobject from type 5 and 60tp are gone from the game. My problem with the current state of the he is that they forgot to buff the accuracy of the derb guns or buff the standard pen of atleast some ammo types. Or do people think its accident the caliban has 180 he pen on standard and almost 300 with ap. Or the cobras pen? Or the 225 gold pen he of the upcoming bz176, witch also has 0.38 dispersion, witch is rather good for 1100 he 75mm pen. You can aim at a cupola with that gun. Hit a lower plate with 225 pen 800 damage gold shell. Its not an accident. Its what a derb gun needs to work in the current game. If you stroll a tank that does 200 damage every 23 seconds in to the game you wont see much use from it.
