@@vipe650r yeah it would be amazing, they can stay home with their family instead of being on the road for a while. The hardest part is adding reliable enough signal everywhere the country. We want to minimize any potential lag, to prevent any collision. Or have some AI on board that would autopilot until a connection is made. A hybrid system of AI and Human trucking would be good middle ground, where you can rely on AI for sensory things and autopilot, and a person for human intuition, where the AI might have difficult like snow covered roads or complex intersections.

@@mikegrace2819 been there done that. Pulled my own set of tricks n stunts, logs got impossibly intolerable. Logs? I meant laws. Damn whole industry went sideways 15+years ago. Kinda like my tanker, drifting all 18 in dirt was fun. Shh! I never did that. Just like guitar hero, this is NOTHING like real driving and if anyone thinks they're skilled enough to drive a real truck, it takes a bit more than mom paying the utilities to get the computer up and running to haul binary code from the couch.

Well you arent wrong….people waiting on Tesla to figure out fully automated self driving vehicles and Catepillar has been developing and implementing these massive haul trucks to carry tons of ore and communicate with shovels with a human dispatcher overseeing all of it on the surface and an operator available to take control remotely and were just talking surface mines nevermind the loaders and drills operating underground. He isn't retired trucker or he'd know there's lotsa trucks like this. The mirrors are normal size and passenger seats are in most all of them. The gauge package isn't anything spectacular, either. As for a race car, they only have a few gauges. No need for anything other than oil and fuel pressure, charging and a tach.
