Re-imagination of one of Palestrina’s most well-known motets, the composition features the expansion of the original polyphonic lines into four different groups of male, female and mixed choruses singing melodic arches of which with their own textures and drama. The different parts create different soundscapes, culminating in an expression of the heart-wrenching yearning of the soul, before finding resolution in a solemn plea.
