After doing the work for Six Flags Over Georgia the Kroft’s built a competing venue. An indoor amusement park that failed in 6 months. It’s now better known as the CNN center and offices in Atlanta. That huge “worlds largest escalator” that leads up to CNN was the original entrance to the Amusement Park.

Awesome stuff! I didn't know they had a photo from Tales of the Okefenokee inside Monster Mansion! That's fantastic

The Kroffts didn’t design the characters or anything else in the Monster Mansion ride. In 1968, they redesigned the Tales of the Okeefenokee ride that was in the same building as Monster Mansion. In 1980, after a fire, the ride was redesigned as Monster Mansion by some former Disney Imagineers. I’m not sure they were influenced by the original Krofft design; the feel of the ride is completely different.
