I loved the shows from SID AND MARTY CROFT . The Bugaloos , H.R. puff and Stuff , sigmund the Sea monster , the land of the lost ( my favorite ) Electro woman and DYNA Girl , the lost saucer , Wonder Bug ( another favorite ) Magic Mongo , Dr . Shrinker , Far out space nuts , LIDSVILLE , they were all great shows . I’d love to see them back on tv again … that would be awesome .

I have the show on DVD. Loved Martha Raye. She was a very funny villain🤣🤣🤣🤣. I love her singing the supersonic sneakers, she should have recorded the song in its entirety. Around the time she was on the show, she was entertaining the troops in Vietnam, even visiting the injured soldiers at the base hospitals. If I recall she was buried with full military honors for her service, and was a recipient of the Jean Hersholt humanitarian award at the Oscars. Later she was on the Polident commercials as the "fresh mouth" and played Carrie Sharples (Mel's mom) on Alice.

Remember watching in our treehouse late 70s with cousins visiting. Whilst the adults were running about gathering everything needed for a big family meal, we were all quite fine hanging about on the weekends, with Kroft shows everywhere for us all to appreciate. It's amazing the power of television having a hold over us kids. From this, to Lidsville, HR Pufnstuf, onto Land of the Lost...these shows defined the American experience despite the obvious groovy UK experience. Martha Ray scared me more than Witchie Poo, maybe because she was frightening, as opposed to Benita setting the kind io be good one ready. Always relieved from herí basic, overcome marshmallow...*&&
