@@marc-antoinemarcoux697 I skip them but not because of the animations but because I read faster what they are saying and I am trying to speed the game by even a second when it really drags on in and past the industrial era. New animations always add more fun to the game. If you actually skip them you can set your graphics to have only stills if the leaders. Without any animating it should save up memory on the computer.

fact: João III father King Manuel had a son prior to him called Miguel de la Paz with Isabel of Aragon, he was the heir to all of the Iberian kingdoms of Portugal, Castile, and Aragon as Prince of Asturias, Prince of Portugal, and Prince of Girona, until premature death, unfortunately Miguel died at the age of 2 , and Isabel of Aragon died a hour of Miguel birth, Manuel later married Isabella's younger sister Maria, who bore him his son and heir, João III, who would became the heir of Portugal only. If Miguel had lived the entire Iberia would had been under Portuguese rule before Philip.

You did very well! He is speaking very formal, old Portuguese, with words and "sentence form" only seen in the literature. I can help with the unfinished ones, translating exactly as he says: How can you stand to sit on your own shores and not look beyond? (Como podes ficar quedo da vossa própria terra e não olhar mais além?) Ah, yes. You and I both know the sweet melancholy of the sea. ("merencório" instead o "melancólico", although they are synonyms) I have declared war against you. I did not want to do this, but I don't want you around anymore, either. (Havemos declarado guerra contra vós. Posto que nos pese fazer esto(old form of "isto") não queremos sofrer a vossa presença.) I am told that you are the conqueror of Portugal. That may be the reality, but I will never recognize your victory. Begone! (Fizeram-nos saber que sois o conquistador de Portugal. Sem embargo, nós nunca acataremos a vossa vitória. Ide-vos!)
