I want a proper open-world game. Will give Skull and Bones a try in February, but I’m not feeling very hopeful. Rather than a new IP, they should have just remade the map of Black Flag in a much larger open-world, with free-roam and settlement building.

Damn! I can't believe I have never played this game before!! My childhood, I have grown playing legendary Commodore-64 and Amiga-500 Games in 90's, I have already played world famous "Pirates!" game in both C-64 and Amiga, but how come I did not realize and play this game! A pity for me! This game looks like a modern adaptation of "Pirates!" from C-64 and Amiga era!

i would say the best one is "Sid Meier's Pirates! Gold" so far so good it is the sweetspot (i have tried) between the very good original "Sid Meier's Pirates!" but with enchanced mechanics for duels and with the addon of a Map, and the "Sid Meier's Pirates! (2004 reboot)" a very nice remake that has a lot of visual stuffs not really needed for the game to work (and something that will end up tiring) Best part is that you don't really need much in order to play Pirates! Gold... just a Genesis emulator and Rom... and Emulators will have a very good save system

25:35 Passes Pirate ship and doesn't attack/capture a much better ship: Pain inside. 25:39 Passes a FRIGATE and doesn't attack/capture one of the BEST SHIPS in the game: DIES INSIDE. On the plus side: You can always capture a Mail Runner: The True Hero of Pirates

WHY would you sink the ship when you have a port right next to you that you can sell it at? O.o Also, there is no need to keep firing at it once they raise the white flag. Preserve the enemy ship in as best condition as you can at that point for resale (or for your own use).
