First Cup Final appearance in Preds history, having a shutdown role against Toews, Tarasenko, Getzlaf and Malkin, first Pred to have 3 points in a playoff game, a mural of Subban painted on Saint Laurent street, the Bell Centre having plenty of tickets available and barely any buzz during the playoffs last year. The Subban trade hurt the Canadiens both on and off the ice. One of many errors by Bergevin but perhaps his biggest

@kairoskronos91397 жыл бұрын
OneTimer The list goes on and on. As I said, it's year 6 of a 5 year plan, so imho fair to judge this franchise iteration under Marc Bergevin. He's put his stamp on this team, and his team-building philosophy, his personal management style, and his hockey ideology has been fully implemented. We're seeing the results, and somehow I don't think this will be fixed by allowing the same guy who built this team free reign to also try to 'fix' it. It's the team building philosophy that needs to change here, not any one individual player. Until MTL stops artificially handicapping itself, this nonsense will continue.
@kairoskronos91397 жыл бұрын
JLPr Right?? Or firing people for doing the specific job you hired them to do (analytics guy fired over Subban trade objection). He doesn't believe in Cup windows, ffs! A cup window is merely the conflagration of the prime years of your star players, and this GM runs his entire franchise as though it's a non-factor. I guess that explains why he keeps trading young players for old ones. What a mess. Worst GM since Milbury.

Yes we're off to one rough start. But the fact that everyone is doubting them 7 games into a season is ridiculous. As well as bandwagon fans quitting on the Habs. But what Sid said is so true. So many stupid moves by our GM, Fire Bergivan, god dammit. Than deal with whatever after, get Bergivan tf out of here. Trading PK Subban was a dumb move, not signing Radulov was a dumb move. And not signing Markov was stupid. Us Habs fans are panicking too much, it's 7 damn games. Colorado's season record last year is still safe.

The3rdeyedontdie Trade more young prospects? To many holes to fill through trades alone. If they continue this route they're gonna have to hope to get lucky with a draft pick. They need a rebuild but not sure that they can with Price in net. If he plays his normal self they won't be in the bottom. And if he plays poorly this year it might be tough to trade him with that huge contract. Montreal is in a tough spot.
