Another tip from a mom with no idea what I’m doing I took my filter out and shook it til all the water came out then replaced it. Then I wiggled the wire things on the back of the fridge and viola it works again!

Thank you! My situation is that my water dispenser is working, but the ice maker doesn't seem to be getting water to it. I removed the valve, cleaned it with vinegar and ran compressed air through it to see if there was any obstruction. After reassembling everything, I wasn't seeing any water come into the ice maker. I watched your video and used your diagnosis step with the filter and can confirm that im getting water out of the right side of the filter and not the left side. For anyone trying to troubleshoot their fridge, it looks like part of my inlet valve, that controls ice, has died. Will be ordering a new unit to confirm if this is an accurate assumption.

My ice maker is not working and I remember seeing a lot of water on my floor and frozen water running down the inside of my freezer door and could not figure out where it came from and now I know this is more than likely what I am dealing with! Follow-up: It was actually the water filter. I did the test (like you instructed)and water came out of one sprout. I then reinserted the filter and noticed it pooped out. I pushed it harder to put it back in place. Water is now working. I’m sure someone bumped it or something. Easy fix and saved money on a refrigerator repair company. 😀 Not sure about ice yet, because only one sprout shot water. Plus it’s only been a few minutes. We’ll have to wait and see, but right now just happy to have water back after 4 months no water.

Could have frozen reservoir. If so blow dryer can thaw out then recheck.Also a kinked line could obstruct the flow, before changing inlet valve.

Fixed mine by only taking the ice maker out and turned the fridge off for 30 min It was frozen.

My frigidaire dispensor augur will not turn the ice. The ice dispensor only on pushes water thru the water . And the water dispensor switch turns the what sounds like a mort for ice. Nor does my light work on the panel. Its never been used but the warranty is expired. Im thinking a new panel but wondering if i should try to refigure the wiring and or harness. Any tips i could use on my journey to the center of my gf's world so i can get some peace...on ice. Lbvs

The main valve doesnt put water to the filter unless your calling for it on the lever for your cup. Or if its trying to make ice

Hi, I got an LG refrigerator and the issue I'm having is ice maker is not working although I get water dispensed at the door fine. I don't believe ice maker is getting water, the tube's end where water comes into the ice maker has a corroded tip. I put a pin inside the tube and didn't feel any obstruction though. Could it be a bad inlet water valve? Thanks!

open freezer, and see if the the ICE GRATE WHEEL IS SPINNING, IT IS THE METAL PRONGS THAT FLIP OUT THE ICE,,if it is spinning,then you have another problem,but will walk you through it😁

If you can devise a way to eliminate the filter yes it will work but the water flows through the filter and then to the ice dispensing in water part of the refrigerator
