Side hatch workflow on my OVRLND Campers truck camper build

We use the side hatch in our OVRLND Campers truck camper for accessing items used daily. Sunglasses, chapstick, hats, sweaters, headlamps, fire extinguisher, full-time fridge, Rinsekit Pro water pressure system, and a sleeping/storage platform for holding backpacks, shoes, chairs, etc.

Haha dude I'm always making things more complicated. Then I get frustrated because it's too cluttered and I start all over. I think I found a happy medium with this setup. Thanks for the compliments!

And what is that attachment inside that flips down when you said “this is for when we’re hanging out?” Just curious what that is? 👍

Oh yeah this little shelf was an idea my wife came up with for when we're popped up and hanging out in the camper (not sleeping). Sometimes my wife and daughter are up top playing board games and she wanted a place for her drink and phone. That little shelf folds up and down.

Did the lock on your side hatch fall out? What conditions made it do that? I’ve got an Ovrlnd as well

Yeah the lock fell out. They said it was a bad batch from the supplier and they already have it resolved. They sent me a new lock within days of me reaching out to them and I just haven't got around to installing it.

How do you secure your camp chef table?

I just used two Bungie cords hooked to the upper legs and the other end to the side of the truck bed.

Great setup! What mattress did you go with for upstairs and downstairs?

Downstairs is just a 24" roll-up mattress from Amazon that doesn't feel great. The upper is custom from foam factory and it's the 3" HQ. There's a company on Instagram called @overlandfoam that also makes great mattresses and covers. I'm going to have another one made for the lower levels soon.

It was a factory addon from @ovrlndcampers that I had them do.
