@LineagesMusic actually what you both are failing to realize is that this vehicle has 30 speakers in it, 26 of them are NOT subwoofers....the bass does not take over the mids and highs. Everyone see's someone with woofers and assumes its not well balanced. Its the way of youtube, talk first, look later. lol.

actually that is because it was 30 seconds measured continuously with a song that had gaps in the beat, lowing the score. This vehicle has done 157's at real show's, on the Termlab mic. I'm not hating either when i say i highly doubt your 2 12's do 152db on a termlab mic, let alone for 30 seconds straight.

quantitatively, it's using ~27hp of electrical power from the battery (20kw=~27hp). A starter motor on a car draws about 8hp (~7kw) of electrical power (and if you drive you probably know how quickly starters can drain the battery). The alternator (while revving like that) probably produces about 1.8hp (~2kw) of electrical power.

theres more to it than that, he has four irraggi alternators, i think they are in the area of 320 amps, so they alone produce 18.4 kw. it is also drawing more power than its outputting due to heat inefficiency, lets say the amps are 75% efficient. so there is roughly 25kw of draw.

boom at that level is far beyond the loudest most people will ever hear, i got 2 cvx 12's which ive had for 5 years (replaced a couple times)...but after listening to a silverado with 32 12's at spring break nationals in daytona at half gain, it gave me a whole new outlook on people like steve, props for being able to tolerate it, i was out of the silverado with the first 20 seconds of bite down by gorilla zoe, its pure rediculous spl.

Steve, I am starting on this whole Car Audio Adventure. I just went to my first Bass and SQ competition on June 3, 2012 and I placed 4th in the Amateur 1 class (2 12" JL W6 with a 1000 Watt Apline Amp) I hit 140.5db and 141.2db on my second round. I placed 3rd and got a plaque for sound quality! I really enjoyed the experience of my first competition and the atmosphere!
