You are a LIFE SAVER! I am a nurse so I work A LOT- I have always wanted "side swept bangs" so I finally went to my stylist and had it done a couple weeks ago and LOVED IT- UNTIL two days later when I had to figure out how to get them back to how my stylist had em and it was NOT going well at all! I have had them clipped back since. This vid is EXACTLY what I needed! Wish my stylist would have explained this to me. *shameless flips my 2009 side swept bangs while listening to my ipod* nostalgiaaaa and old youtubeeeee 😭 But when did I get so old?! I've seen so many tiktoks pop up on my Facebook (again, when did I age 5 million years?) Making fun of how we got ready. It doesn't seem THAT long ago. The side swept bangs will always hold a special place in my heart. Even if I'll get yelled at for not having a middle part yet. This video was gold then, and its gold now ❤️ Remember, we were careful not to cut off too much, but leave enough that someone ALWAYS asks if you can see through your bangs. Idk how we saw. Maybe the snake bites worked as eyes. Lmfaooo. We weren't that bad But ughhhh. The dedication to the image. Maybe You had to be there. Lol KZbin was such a different place. ❤️

Probably the most useful bang video I have ever seen. I've probably been straightening/ drying my bangs the wrong way this entire entire time. I know this video was done in 2009, I just found you and WOW!! I've been blow drying my bangs wrong all these years. My stylist would blow dry my bangs to where they were side swept and it always turned out just right. But I couldn't see what she was doing because my bangs were in the way! no you don't. I have wavy hair too but in my profile pic, i straightened them. I used this method and it works on wavy hair just. You might need to damp your hair just a little bit more. That's it :)

She has slightly layered bangs. You could ask your hairdresser to cut layered bangs but if you want to do them yourself then you should look up tutorials

Hi Lola, on Saturday I had my hair cut into side swept bangs at hairdresser, she blow dried it with a round brush it looked so easy! Suffice to say I struggled and although I was happy with cut, I got so unhappy when it didn't look the same :'( then I found your video! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! As soon as you said 'rainbow' effect I said 'YEAH!' and then as soon as you said to dry it from the opposite side I realised that is exactly where I was going wrong. I so appreciate this video. I have struggled with my dreaded bangs all my life - cutting them short, leaving them long, angled, etc .. just trying to get them to do what I want. GRRR. So frustrating. Your video is really clear. Can you do one on how to pin up med/short curly hair too? I would love one like that as well. My hair is curly so when I try 'regular' updos using elastics, my hair looks WAY too short and I hate the look. I have nice long'ish curls so would love to know how to pin them up to have them hang better. Thanks again. :-)

A bit of a Soft-fiber wax on the ends of the fring will work in every case..softening the ends,make it look smoother and gives a bit of hold there (can combine with hair spray of course)
