Thanks ! I was using a laptop back then, but I changed to a proper workstation now that I settled in Vancouver. :) It was a 16Gb RAM laptop with Nvdia GeForce 1080... Quite limited now but forced me to work smart and find way to optimize.

@ 1:33 i get a little confused, what are you copying? Im sure your tutorial is very good lots of ways but i need to give you some feedback about your timing, while youre copying pasting and deleting stuff it would help a lot if you didnt talk about why it will be great in the future, it makes it a bit hard to follow.

I’ve been trying to research and look into this but is it at all possible to scale a developed environment Down, for example my Environment is currently sized 2017x2017 which I find to big to work with inside UE4 Is there anyway to bring this down whilst containing the details of the landscape?

Which version of Houdini are you using ?? if you try TAB and type "hfnoise" you don't get any result ??

You can’t get that from a convert heightfield, you can then create a retention attribute with method of your choice (procedural or attribute paint) and use it into a polyreduce to decimate the mesh more or less based on that

Don’t think they changed it much, default settings aren’t ideal and also depends a lot on the heightfield resolution. it can take quite bit of time to achieve right result,m. In this video I was playing real quick for demo the global workflow.
