Not really, when they say director they really mean DoP or director of photography. Each sidemean organises a video and the person that organises it talks to the crew about their idea and kinda how they want it to look. Producer has 2 meanings which often leads to confusion, it can refer to either the production fase (aka filming and stuff) or the financial stuff and ofc if you invest, you own a part of the thing you produced. Pinewood studios for example is often called a production studio which leads some people to think that they finance movies while its actually a studio with literal stages and camera equipement. I gues thats enough unnecessary rambling from a film student for today
