He LOST his gun in the beginning of the film. Willie dropped it out the window before Indy ever wore his Indy outfit. Not sure why they even added the gun. You dont need it cuz he didnt have it.

***** Oh i'm not saying it isn't great. But they're not as high on my rankings among the other movies. I personally think that Last Crusade is the best. Followed by Raiders, then it's very close between Kingdom and Temple. With Kingdom edging out Temple by like 1 point. I like the archaeology aspect of the Indy movies. I felt that Temple got a little further away from that aspect.

+optibotimus That is true :) everybody has his own favorite movie and I respect that. My favorite is Indiana Jones and the last crusade :) of the franchise. But I have to admit that the crystal skull movie has some nice scenes.

That gun wasn't ever meant to fit into that holster....The holster in Temple is longer, made for a longer barrelled weapon than the shorter S&W....So it won't fit into it as well...But since he never had the weapon in Temple, except at the start, that's okay anyway...

Wow that seam on the head, Hot Toys does a better job with their figures when it comes to heads coming apart like that. I prefer my Raiders Indy, it comes with two heads, one with hat and one without. It also comes with a hat accessory. The figure does look nice don't get me wrong but it's best not to get to close with that seam or the illusion is gone. My figure was 60 bucks, this is 200+, both Hot Toys and Sideshow are driving the prices up because people are still shelling it out. How far can they go before people refuse to pay these insane prices?

+Ray's Reviews (DMSL2007) I don't agree with that really much at all. I think everything in terms of costs is increasing. Look at what other companies are doing, Mattel, Hasbro....all prices are going up. I doubt it's some sort of conspiracy to just drive prices up

I understand that all the greedy licensees like Marvel and DC need to charge a Hot Toys more for the rights since a poor Robert Downey Jr needs to make another 100 mil from them. I personally only buy when things go on clearance like black Friday or Halloween I refuse to pay retail. If I don't get any of them hey I got extra money in my savings.

I ordered this from Sideshow and while I can say that the figure looks good the paint detail is not that great. On the one I ordered the knee under the torn patch was painted darker and unfortunately whenever you bent the knee it scraped the airbrush paint right off leaving the natural plastic look surrounded by the darker paint job. This was also noticeable near his elbow on the arm that is missing the sleeve. The airbrush looks fine until you actually bend the arm and then there is a clear cut line between the darker airbrush color and the natural plastic. I asked Sideshow for a replacement and when it came unfortunately the same problem for both the knee and arm were present in this figure. Just something to be aware of if you decide to pick his one up.

I agree 100%...I didnt like the RAIDERS Figure, I thought it didnt look NOTHING like Harrison Ford. This 1 DOES...so me too. I got this one and he looks GREAT. Plus he was $80 cheaper. Raiders was going to cost me $400, instead I went with Temple of Doom for $320, and Im soooo glad I did. I love this figure. I also got an extra belt cuz the whip magnet is a huge problem with all Temple of Doom figures, but easy to fix.

Wow, sorry for the language, but Jesus F#*king Christ. I am one of the minority, temple of doom is my indi, and this looks amazing. I felt he always looked different in doom then he did in the other three. And Paul, there was seven stones. The cult had 4, stole one off the village to make five in thier alter, and the kids were digging for the last two. When they escaped, Indy grabbed three and put in his bag, which is why three of the accessories have glowing stones. I'm defiantly considering this figure

Great review !!..But yeah that seam on his head,cmon sideshow really ? Besides that it does seem like a great looking figure, on the fence about it. For $229 sideshow could have done something better about that seem. Cool fig though.

Strange. Your head sculpt has no blood on his lip and nose like mine has. Personally I agree with your review although I think the stubble in the face should be sharper and not as soft. I don't think the head looks as good as the initial preview photos.

+Anthony Dry Well, like with Hot Toys figures, the figures ARE hand painted. It's very possible mine just didn't get as much attention, which honestly, doesn't bother me too much. I'd prefer a clean head sculpt

Very good review, you saved me $230.00 from buying it. The visible seem on the head is just horrible. It takes away from the look. The hat is way to big and not to scale. Between this review and "The straight poop" review, I'll move on to my Civil War preorders.😝

+Danoby2 Thank you sir :) Good or bad, i'm glad i can help any way i can. I don't mind the seam because i leave the hat on. As for the hat though...it is as accurate as i can tell. I own several hats made by the same companies that were contracted throughout the Indiana Jones films and the hat for this figure is pretty damn accurate in actuality.

+optibotimus haha thanks for the good words Danoby - optibotimus, you should check out my video - you will understand why the hat is not a good match for the hat in the movie. A lot of things wrong on this guy, which is too bad. But yes, he is the best of the Indy's, but he could be much better. Off to eBay he goes!

The Straight Poop I don't agree with your belief the hat isn't right. I've looked at multiple pictures over many years (as i said, i own a couple different fedoras that were made by the companies that made them for the films)...while it might not be PERFECT, (as you pointed out because of the hair fitting under the hat on the figure), i feel it's well within acceptable range. I don't think there is much "wrong" with the figure honestly. There is definitely a lack of weathering that could be put into it but even Hot Toys is guilty of that. The jacket Bane wore in TDKR was very worn and the figure for it doesn't show that same level of fatigue on the material. It's all personal opinion.

Sorry, the shape of the hat may be correct, that is ok, but the way it fits, it looks so bad in my opinion, and really could have been done so much better. There are a number of different ways to go about it. Unfortunately they choose the wrong way. I will try to get some comparisons of the head and hat for you check out and let me know what you think. The neck, as you even noticed, is pretty much a fail. Too long, too thick. And the mismatched stubble doesn't help. Check out the stone holding hands compared to all the other hands - they are MUCH bigger than the other hands, which is hilarious. Amateur level.

The Straight Poop I think a second head would have been nice. But we don't know what the cost for doing something like that would have been. Anything we say on the matter would just be speculation and i don't feel it's really fair to judge something like that without all the necessary information. The hat changed from movie to movie but one thing that was the same, was Harrison Ford himself "futzed" with it to get the shape and fit that each hat got for the films. So a plastic representation is always gonna look specific to ONE scene and it looking like it in that one scene only...for the most part anyway. The neck does stick out (no pun intended haha), but i think you can mitigate that with posing. For example, i have him posed looking down at the stones in his hand. It does a god job of hiding the length of his neck. I honestly didn't even notice the stone holding hands lol but if that's true, it's kinda funny. I don't wanna call them amateurs though. Cause i clearly couldn't make a figure like that lol They know what they're doing but they're also still learning and growing as a figure maker. Hot Toys wasn't the pinnacle that they are now a few years into their history. Hell, look at their Indy they did for Raiders....that think, (in my opinion) looks terrible and doesn't look anything like he should look. I guess i look at things differently because i do talk to these companies. Like take NECA for example. So many people bitch and complained that they didn't do removable masks for their predators. When the reality of it was they didn't do it because that wasn't how they were done in the movies. The predator faces weren't on under the masks. The mandibles didn't fit under there, so NECA made the toys the same way. Not many people know that, but i do cause i'm able to talk to them and they to me. It's unfortunate that it's not something they can communicate with everyone...but people have this sense of entitlement that they want things the way they want them. Without regard for the process involved and when it's not the way they want it, they attack the companies. I just don't think that's right or fair honestly.

Just seen more pictures of this guy's face, and I was wrong!!!!!! He is not in any way near the quality as hot toys. His portrait is the same as the other sideshow portraits. Generic looking. Hot toys prices and low quality. The lighting in this video sucks. I was fooled. I had to watch another video with proper lighting to see the difference. My bad. Bad knee joints and a terrible sculpt. Not good. Accessories are good, but not anywhere at all to justify the high price tag.
