The problem is saturation.... that deathstroke piece is great.. but I have about 15 other statues on my 'wish list' before it... There's so many great statues, I keep my powder dry for the ones that really wow me now. Also - 1/4 is where its at, if Sideshow made a 1/4 riddler PF i think it would sell very well (look at their penguin = 1500 ES, batgril = 2200 ES).

I think prime 1 is about to show us a riddler. But going back to your answer only 350 of a character rarely made and it ain’t sold out is puzzling to me, even with the over saturated market.

@@MrGizmo5602 With the economy, folks are being more selective than ever. If anything I wish Sideshow would be more consistent when it changes things up... the Batgirl should have a lower ES (let it sell out! and get people hyped about the hobby again - scarcity is an important part of collecting, its healthy for the market).

This is a multi-layered question with a multi-layered answer. Personally SSC is one of my favorite statue companies and they're doing a lot of great stuff still. But you mentioned Deathstroke and he's another repeat character (not as much as Batman, Ivy, Iron Man, Wolverine, etc... but still done by many people in many scales). Many of us already have our preferred Deathstroke (mine is the old P1 Arkham). You mentioned GL Hal... a decent piece, but why is it so tall? A lot of SSC's recent pieces are super tall and/or wide... so they don't fit in many displays. And again, another repeat character. We still don't have a licensed 1/4 Nightwing, Red Hood, Cyborg, Raven, Bishop, Jubilee, etc. Top tier characters that collectors have been begging years for. There are a few exceptions... the recent Batgirl is a repeat character with a huge base, but it sold very well according to the ES reveal. But many of us would like to see more Penguin style reveals.

I’m starting to think it’s true what I read on statue forum years ago that collectors who own multiple statues represent a small percentage of Sideshows customer base. Because of this they mainly cater to the customer who want one statue which is why we get Wolverine, Superman, Batman, Spiderman every couple years. Occasionally they will make an obscure character but they just sit in there warehouse for years. Personally I want to get Deathstroke but like Taskmaster I think due to the pose it takes up too much space.

Great video my man.. I think honestly it’s a lot of issues with the economy right now.. not just sideshow but a lot of statue companies are hurting. Also people want something that’s unique. I mean look at prime one and jnd they sell out most of the time.. I am focused on mostly 1/3 and some 1/4. Honestly I am selling most of my 1/6 scales to help me create space on my storage room with the boxes lol
