Cubase Pro Profiles for StreamDeck Windows Installation

Never ever without it! Maybe there are some changes with Cubase Pro and the different windows versions. But it works great!

works just fine. and I use it in Cubase 12. A problem I had was that when upgrading from cubase 11 to 12, not all folders were created cleanly in the appdata. still had the Cubase 11 folder with all subfolders such as Keycommands. I then simply moved them to the Cubase 12 folder and everything works. Another tip from me for lazy people like me who don't use the English keyboard layout and don't feel like changing all the key commands. It's easy to create a button on the stream deck that lets you switch between two layouts. :) Before I start Cubase, I briefly switch from the German to the English keyboard with a push of a button and that's it. :)

Thanks for the tip Riccardo! Yes our settings don't migrate when you move from 11 to 12 which is why we are recommending you just go through the setup procedure as outlined in the pdf again.

Hi. At 5:05 you mention a "More Actions" button on the bottom right of the Stream Deck app. I have no such button. Can you assist please? I can't install without it.

Hi Mark it's best to follow the pdf in the pack for installation as YT videos can go out of date as software updates (as is the case here). To get to that spot - click the Stream Deck store (the colored icon beside the gear)

Looking thru the pdf and these videos, I haven't seen anything related to markers, punch in/out etc. If this isn't included, is it something I can add myself? I just ordered the XL from Sweetwater. (meant to put this on the mac video) sorry.

There is a Marker functions in the Transport folder of our profile. And sure if you find any lacking feature you can ADD anything you like using the Hotkey or through the Generic Remote utilized in the Cubase Plugin.

Hi, Is it possible to use 2 Stream Deck's XLs simultaneously so that you can double the number of tracks in cubase that you want to control? And is it possible to combine a Stream deck XL with a Stream deck+ in Cubase? Thanks!

Does the Key Command Preset replace the default keyboard shortcuts? Or does it just add additional commands to be used with the Stream Deck? I'd like to be able to alternate between regular keyboard and the Stream Deck

@@Avlimusic The only way to provide these packs with pre-programmed commands is to build our own set (based on the default set). You of course can customize our file to include yours or vice versa but it would need to be done manually. There's just no way around that.

@@mohaifischer There's no reason to do it. There are far too many controls to make it practical for a Mini. Plus, if you import the profile, 90% of it wouldn't show up as it would be off screen.

How about a video on installing the Cubase profile for Cubase 12 on windows? I've tried the install in various scenarios (turn off keyboard, disable AV, etc) but the Track Mix Strip (or whatever you call it) will not appear in the MIDI Controllers tab inside the MIDI Remote Manager window. You support line apparently has given up on me so stuck on what to try next. Thanks.

Included in our profile is the MIDI remote activated Channel Strip with Selected track and Master Fader. Unfortunately MIDI remote behaves differently than Mackie Faders. It doesnt send update to the fader controller itself since it uses MIDI CC and not MCU Faders. You can, however, replace the button with Mackie Fader if you like to have that behaviour. or Purchase separately our Cubase MCU pack which does that. @@arnelbarbarona9844 I purchased the MCU package as well. I placed the “to copy” in one of the two blank spaces in the Channel Strip page actually. So it’s possible to switch the channel strip fader buttons with MCU fader buttons? That’s what I’d like to do! To be able to handle a single track independently.

@@SideshowFX all in all was fine would just make things easier if you say which folder each file is in as i found myself clicking through them all each time. (might just be me). also although stream deck is not your hardware/software just put a part on about how to add it as a new profile from the profile list as took me a bit of working out how to find it and add to my front default page.

Hi David thanks for pointing this out. Go to the new Stream Deck store which is the icon beside the preferences gear in the Stream Deck interface. In the new store click Plugins from the selection along the left. From there you can search for the midi plugins.

I've just installed the new, improved version of this software for Cubase 12 and wow, very impressed!! Well done guys, I highly recommend this software and your support is second to none. One caveat though, the Midi Port Setup information in the SetUp pdf highlights what you should have ticked for StreamDeck2Daw, etc but it DOES NOT inform you of the spurios entries that should be unticked (ie Daw2StreamDeck in Windows MIDI In, etc) - I'm not sure why these entries even appear after setup but, if they are left ticked, they can cause unexpected behaviour in the Midi communications between all the associated devices!
