Wow! Absolutely LOVE seeing the community involvement and glad you had some single blades for others to try because they are totally easier to learn on and fun for general riding. Quite a different sensation than freeskating with wide wheels. Keep it up🎉

Always a blast heading back to the rink! Being able to teach freeskating on ice was so cool 😆

I bought these single blades in the fall, but we are not allowed to go to the skating rink with them; it is forbidden to go on the ice without skates. I tried to skate outside, but the snow clogs the skin and my feet slip on the deck. I had to come up with straps. And yes, it’s a lot of fun! :) I apologize for the automatic translation.

Glad you found a way to make it work! It definitely gets dicey when wet, so straps actually sound like a cool option 🤙

He was not wrong on the inner groin muscles lol took me a good month or 2 of constant skating to be able to just free skate for an hour or more. Worth it for sure.

You should try to use them as roller skates with the velcro i feel like you can roll with them not sideways but facing the road

I really want to try these.

I wonder if the blade is slightly rockered (or bowed? arched?) to ease pivoting/twisting. (maybe not as much as hockey skates, but less straight than figure skates). Wonder what 3-wheeled (rockered) freeskates would feel like... could have much grippier wheels & still work well on rough, grippy concrete if they didn't have to slide to pivot.

It certainly would ease pivoting but you need a bit of flat to get sufficient edge contact to generate speed. With straps this could change and more rocker would be appropriate.

Where do you get sideways/freeskate style Ice skates?
@jmkride9 ай бұрын
The single blade ones were DIY, created by attaching a blade to a knockoff set. The more premium ones are made by a company called Freezkates, linked in the description 👍
