Years ago I wanted a pair of Sidi Couriers but never got them. I've always had the feeling that Sidi make very good boots. These look good. Happy New Year. Nick

Cheers Nick and HNY to you too. I've always liked the look of the couriers but have never tried them

I have worn various model of this brand and you are on point -They do need breaking in I wear mine around the house when I first get them for an hour or two for a couple of days. I usually size up a half size myself If you are buying in store go later in the day when your feet are at their biggest size that way they won’t be too tight in the morning LOL I learned that when I started running and was buying running shoes They are nice boots I wore them for years and when I was a motojournalist they were my work boots 😄 I wore them to ride to my assignments and while walking around taking pictures and notes. Cheers

Interesting to see a boot review on your channel, the only reviews I usually see are from retailers (Urban Rider /Motolegends etc) good to see you tested the SIDI 'd over an extended period so your views on the boots are credible , would be great if you included other kit reviews on your channel , maybe you could test and review boots from Altberg (never seen a UK Vlogger has test and review Altberg boots)
@mancavemoto11 ай бұрын
There’s quite a lot of kit reviews on the channel kzbin.info/aero/PLvSfKh0v9LSv-DiuJlRpA3kkGP87KgN2C&si=Li_955lRUEkAH4OM Altberg is not a name I’m familiar with
@IanSixbikes-by6ei11 ай бұрын
Interestingly Altberg are a UK company based in Richmond (North Yorkshire) they've been making motorcycle boots since 1989 , the UK Motorcycle Police use Altberg boots (and the Army) which is why I always find it surprising none of the UK motorcycle Vloggers review the Altberg Boots.

You must be telepathic Tony, was going to ask if anyone could recommend a pair of decent boots, though not the most sexy of kit bloody important certainly in the winter.
@mancavemoto11 ай бұрын
haha, I wanted to give these a proper test so have been hanging on for this one.

One quick question Tony socks you would recommend to go with these boots.
@teneretraveller898011 ай бұрын
Liked my old sides, albeit they were full length. They were stiff to walk in and I couldn't stop them squeaking. But they are riding boots after all. But my gawd everything seems so expensive, or am I just getting old. Ride safe and Happy New Year.

Got some Daytona roadstars for the cold wet and crap weather and sidi performer for when it’s nice out seems to cover all bases for me the Daytona are like a pair of slippers out the box as comfy as some trainers I own but you can tell the toe area is thicker than the sidi boots makes it harder to use my qs
@mancavemoto11 ай бұрын
Yes, i've got a pair of Daytona Roadstar Pro GTX on long term test too. I wore them wheni picked up an XSR900 and had real problems with the shifter
@DucatiDale11 ай бұрын
@@mancavemoto they’re certainly built for more touring/adv style bikes where’s there’s more room in that area after clipping the limiter a few times I got use to it eventually but without adjusting the lever on my mt which I don’t want to do because it’s perfect with the sidi’s I’ll just have to deal with it
@robinwhite71610 ай бұрын
Hi Tony just invested in a pair of the Sidi boots featured to take the place of my old Alpinestars, only had a quick ride so far to try them out, will see how they get on long term wise. As it seems you are my personal shopper/equipment tester just wondered if you have any plans to test winter gloves it’s the only thing I have left to re-invest in as my old Hein Gericke one la are a bit past their sell by date. Looks forward to hearing from you or any of your followers with suggestions. 😉🙃👍

😂 oh dear the pressure! I do have a couple of pairs of Rukka gloves i've been trying out, one of which the R-Star, is a fantastic winter glove with a double chamber for you hand depending on if you want more or less insulation on the palm. I need to pull my finger out and get the video done before it warms up!

Question … Once these are fully broken in can you walk in them completely normally like a normal pair of shoes? Thanks for the video …

Not quite No, they retain an element of stiffness

£239 for a pair of boots,😮 i only paid £130 for my 1961 Goldstar in 1967😊. 830 OTB still out there somewhere.
@mikerider5811 ай бұрын
Wouldn't it be Wonderful to find that 1961 Goldstar. It would make for one he'll of a video if Man Cave could find it or even , do a video on the BSA Goldstar 1961.
@mancavemoto11 ай бұрын
It is currently taxed!
@Vanrides.11 ай бұрын
@@mancavemoto Yes still taxed. Last time I saw my old bike was back in 1980 when a friend acquired it, he kept it for a few months then moved it on. Interestingly I part exchanged the Goldie in 1969 for a brand new bonnie reg TUM66H, paid £395 for the Triumph less £150 I received for the Goldie. According to DVLA my Bonnie is still around having had a new V5c issued in May 2023. The Goldie was a 1961 model though DVLA has it listed as a 1963 bike, probably a mistake made when they centralised vehicle records in Swansea.

looks like a superb Daytona rip off
@TheRosshenderson10 ай бұрын
These boots are cheap crap in my view. I ordered a pair and found them very light weight and the zip didn’t pull down due to the hard plastic strips on each side of the zip. While it may soften with time these are no Daytona replacements which is a shame from sidi. I expected much better.
