Big thanks for this, just got home with a new pair of adv 2's and booklet NO help with adjusting the straps! Easy when you know how, but didn't want to snap anything and google found you.

Got the same boot in the high fit had them 3yrs and they are most comfortable boot and I do prefer the extra shin protection. Good review as I was looking at a shorter boot for summer but still want good protection, I would assume they fit the same as the high boot size wise. I wear a 44

Thanks for the review. I’ve been looking for a good dual sport boot. I will spend 70-80% off road, and I want a boot I can walk around/hike in when I’m off the bike. I don’t think I need a full height or motocross boot as I won’t be racing. I looked at these but I haven’t seen anyone else review them. 👍

TommyNitro I reckon I’ve done some 200 miles in them now . Mostly out for 1 hour at a time . Unless u want a full Mx type boot then there is always a compromise with practicality and comfort . They may not be the best walking boot but they are fine in my limited use with them . For me they do the job well . I need to do a few long trips away but living on an island 8 miles x 5 is a bit restrictive!!! But I would buy them again given the choice out on the market. Safe riding and good luck in your choice . Definitely go one size up .

I have noticed on other boots that the waterproof membrane stops 3-4 inches before the top... so if the boot is 11" tall then only 8" would be covered. Can you tell us how tall is the membrane? Normally you can tell because the boot internal liner changes looks where the membrane stops. thanks for the review

Hello, I am using Vespa gts. I want to buy this boat. Because it will protect my shins in case of an accident. Did I get right? In which season can I wear it? I do not use a scooter in rain and snowy weather. In rainless, hot or cold weather. But I use it especially between May and September. In my country, the temperature between May and September is between 25 and 40 degrees. Do you think summer heat will be a problem with this boot? Is it a problem to have it on my feet in winter or cold months? Will it be a problem for the scooter? What is the difference between suede and leather models? Is the leather model safer and warmer? ThanksFaux or Artificial leather? Is it cut? Isn't it safe? I want to buy Sidi Adventure Mid 2. I am someone who uses a Vespa gts scooter. Won't it protect me in case of an accident?

The Mid boot is a waterproof boot. If you are going to use it in temperatures of 40 degrees I am not sure how comfortable it would be. If you are after a boot with significant shin protection then any boot may get a bit warm in those temperatures. Have you considered a casual type boot? I wear my Sidi boots a lot and they are really comfortable. Unless you have a full boot for the most protection then any boot will be a compromise regarding comfort/protection. 👍

@@gsd32i What I'm wondering is, how is the temperature at the base? Yes, the boots are long. But what causes the most sweating on the soles? Thanks
@gsd32i8 ай бұрын
I have warn them in temperatures of 30 -35 degrees and they were ok. Thin socks. If you are after protection then yes your feet will possibly get warm, but the Midi boots I find are ok.

Thanks for the video. Just wanted to ask why sizing up was recommended to you? Is sizing up recommended for all or just for wider feet?
@gsd32i4 жыл бұрын
It was recommended on several of the sites , including Sportsbikeshop where I purchased them from . After a few months now the boots are very comfy and extremely easy to get on and off and I am glad I went a size up . I don’t have wide feet just normal size !

When you sent the straps close to the tightest setting, do you find that the buckles don't fully clasp? Also do you think it's got sufficient ankle flex/torsion protection with the absence of the hinge system that's in the full sized Adventure 2 boots?
@gsd32i3 жыл бұрын
Hi . I haven’t had any issue with the boot clasps . The ADV 2 may have greater protection but everything is a compromise I guess and it depends what you want from the boot . With mine I can jump on my KTM 890R duke and pop my jeans over the top or onto my Africa Twin,. I have found them very comfortable with little or no breaking in . Sorry can’t be of any greater help 🤦♂️

Hi nice vid. Did you experience water coming in the boots from the top since it's a short version and the trousers can go up a bit at seating position?
@gsd32i4 жыл бұрын
vriendelijkegroet in fairness I’ve not ridden for any significant time in wet conditions. I guess depending on the type of waterproof trouser you have and your seating position, the combination could possibly cause the top of the boot to allow a bit of rain to make its way in if your trouser bottom rises up whilst seated. For me it’s not been an issue but I do make sure the Velcro on the trouser bottoms is nice and tight( adventure bike trousers not pull on waterproof trousers over your jeans! ). Easy boots to get off and on, easy to adjust( when you know how!!) and waterproof. Yes they are a compromise I guess , just like any shorter style boot, but I would buy them again. I did have to adjust my gear lever position to allow for the thickness of the boot. . 👍

@@gsd32i BTW, I returned my Sedici boots (they put pressure on my ankles, and only worn inside the house) & ordered Sidi ADV-2 boots. After wearing them in the house, I ventured out for a ride. It took a while to figure out how to reliably move the shift lever up & down, but I got it. Also have walked through a couple of brooks, about 12 inches deep, & no water entered the boots.

Bloody 'ell! After going on about HOW no instructions were provided as to how one might adjust the buckles, whence you finally discovered the secret (there are several videos explaining it) you did a marginal at best job of showing the method to others in your previous (unknowing) circumstance! Shameful, just shameful! Otherwise, enjoyed your review :- )
