Tut-Tut-Tut: Victim blaming never goes down well!!!! Sidney - Where is she?
@fabricatedreality82185 жыл бұрын
I watched Sidney's 1st trial, Tammy's trial, and now this one. I also have read and watched all the news about this case. I truly believe Sidney and Tammy are guilty. This case struck a chord with me. I pray Sidney gets convicted for what he and his wife have done. I still feel sad tho because im sure the evil twosome will never reveal what theyve done with Heather's body.

Well...from what I have heard so far, I would say it is gonna be a guilty verdict.

Team Skylar will be here any minute to insist he's innocent. Please tell me there's no team Sidney. I can't take the ridiculousness of them. Opening is not strong on evidence however it's engaging and keeps your attention.
@80slady695 жыл бұрын
Oh, I was definitely *"team Skylar."* I can't help that the prosecutor couldn't prove their case. I went with the evidence that was presented, and made my decision on that and not my feelings. I thought that's the way the law works? Obviously the jury agreed. After I hear this case, I will do the same. The prosecutor has to prove the charges. Lets wait and see. I bet if I had just agreed with you, you would of been all nice, but since I didn't...

The fact that you made this comment shows you have "feelings" about Skylar's case...No one is on a "team." This isn't a game...Move on and get over your hurt FEELINGS!

Wow that's an impressive diagnosis from an internet psychologist team Skylar consists of everyone who ignores the fact that Annabel was a person and said Skylar was a victim.

At the risk of inciting my fellow KZbinrs, I am going to politely disagree about this lawyer. I am not at all saying the defendant is innocent, because he definitely has and continues to appear very guilty, but I think the defense attorney is actually good and doing the best he can, given the incriminating information we all know regarding his client. Let's face it: this defense lawyer doesn't have a lot to work with, so he's making the best out of what crumbs he has. And considering that those crumbs are stale and small in number, what more can he really do? He's articulate, succinct and appears to be a well educated lawyer doing his due diligence. For example, he did his best to reinforce the presumption of innocence and even sympathetically acknowledged how eager the community is to find Moorer guilty. I found it especially compelling when he said that years from now, he would make sure the jury would not have to worry that their verdict had sent an innocent man to prison. As a former jury member in a criminal case, that very issue weighed heavily on our minds so I found these to be comforting words. Not that i would find someone innocent simply to ease my own guilty mind, but it shows he is aware of the jury's burden. Sorry to ramble on, but as much as i doubt the innocence of the accused, I don't want to lump his lawyer in the same "what a bum" category simply due to the fact that the lawyer is linked to him by doing his job which is to provide counsel to as best as he can.

Your case is damn weak when you have to blame a young girl for leading the life of a single young girl and trying to pass this cheater as a 'family man.'
@chefEmersonWilliams5 жыл бұрын
I don't disagree with you in victim blaming, and elevating this loser as a "family man." It should not come into evidence, and not be considered by the jury, EXCEPT, as here, where it is important to talk about the other guys in her life that she was having intimate relations with at or around the same time as the defendant, which constitutes reasonable doubt that THIS guy, the defendant, kidnapped her. That's why the defense mentioned it, in my opinion. But I'm sorry, I wish we would stop calling this kind of life "leading the life of a single young girl." Yikes. Having sex with a married man (and as her boss testified the same day in this retrial), and repeatedly having sex with this cretin at her WORKPLACE, being transient and sleeping in her car and on friends' couches and having a bunch of boyfriends at the same time, including one that abuses her, is NOT the typical "young single girl" even in our wanton times. Neither my sister nor my wife, nor my nieces and younger female cousins, have led their lives in any way even remotely similar to this poor, departed young woman. Doesn't mean she deserves her fate, but I wanted to make that point. Calling this the "young single life" when it is atypical, unfortunate, and even depressing, is unfair to young single women. Their best lives are not like this.

Lise LaSalle it's what you do when you have nothing to stand on. I'm not sure why lawyers don't realize people see right through them when their client is guilty. ESPECIALLY when they victim blame
