@@coachtimmeh6826 jumping in a test environment and jumping in game is worlds different… anyone who played ball knows what I mean. Same as guys who are fast compared to guys who are fast with the ball. The way he takes off mid gather and has his momentum going up-hanging-then down is not common. A lot of guys get up-back down. Same as his vision and passing. His pass and a normal pass will both count as an assist in the paint but anyone who has a good eye can also see he has natural passing vision

Because Spurs are the best when it comes to understanding that talent is a worldwide thing not only in the US. US-born players tend to do one thing very well and make a career out of it. European players are usually kind of "jack of all trades, masters of none"-type of players where they do everything pretty well. Then when they get to the NBA, if the organization is good enough they let the player development coaches improve their weaknesses and or train them to get more specialized in one field. Look at the Spurs through the years and you'll see that they almost always have about 50% of their squad from other countries and the other half specialized killers when it comes to say scoring/rebounding etc.

As someone who wanted San Antonio to trade for Jimmy Butler ever since he left Minnesota, I am SO stoked to have this kid. He has, on record, tried to model his game after Jimmy. The Spurs get to have a homegrown Jimmy Butler archetype with tons of playmaking upside and defensive awareness.

They traded the pick (not the player) several spots before their turn and just drafted whomever MIN wanted. They were playing some chess/poker and correctly guessed one of their guys would fall to 44. They have too many FR picks next two years to draft every 2nd rounder. But Miller would have been nice.

@@gremlinmachineshopyou’re right on it, I believe. Spurs reportedly tried to get Wemby’s teammate via trade in first round to go with him, but I think he was drafted ahead of where they could have gotten a good deal. I think Sidy was their backup

What am I missing??? What is the catch with this kid???!!! Why isn't he projected top 3-5?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I need answers!!! Pro Comp: JULIUS RANDLE/OG ANUNOBY. Obviously, a right handed version of RANDLE, when getting to the rim or driving the lane he almost looks identical using his big, thick frame to bully. Better shooter, more athletic and his playmaking is light years ahead. Has the defensive prowess of ANUNOBY, C&S touch as well! He looks like a Plug & Play guy!!!!!! Someone educate me please!!!
