Map callouts are such a hard shit to learn simply because there is no map which I could turn up and see what is called what, no, only source of info is name of current location and plant locations and trust me in the beggining it is pretty much last info you would look up on the screen. So even when I know maps pretty decent in terms how are all rooms placed relative to each other I have basically no connection between this and what name correlates to them.
@Retrogamer-cr3hz7 ай бұрын

You got a point, even when you know the locations the official names are different from the callouts the community uses. Rafters in Clubhouse I had no idea was Garage until recently for example. But some are intuitive, like Varsity's "waterfall stairs" for Nighthaven my brain immediately connected the dots, "oh he means CC stairs, as that has a waterfall visual there".

Call outs are the biggest thing, Valorant and CS2 remedy this by having the name of the room or area you are in being under the minimap, Siege has no feature like this unless you are on a drone or spectating, It would help a lot. People make call outs all the time, and not having played in 5 years, some of those call outs might as well be static noise. I can not do anything with that information because i do not know the maps, and i think "just go into practice and learn them all" is pretty narrow sited on the issue with learning siege, you should not have to go to external sites to learn something about a game you are actively playing. Also its the verticality, so many maps are being played vertically not horizontally for optimal play and that is hard to deal with coming from any game, Even in TF2 a hero shooter with lots of classes that go flying into the air hardly anyone looks up if at all.

Use to play Siege, came back for two seasons, felt like a new player due to massive changes they've made, still can do decent, and left the game after the two seasons. Not saying Siege isn't great it can be but majorly its not the best since there are a lot of issues in the game that continue to hold it back without actual changes making anything better almost worst. I use to enjoy Siege but I can't bring myself to enjoy it again, and I think it may stay that way just depends if the changes they make will actually be good or not.

Nah on the topic of paternity me personally I would be like fuck that bastard. 💀 I really dont think I would be able to contain the feelings of being betrayed like that so I'll just cut myself out of the equation save the kid any grief. I've dealt with betrayal (obviously smaller situations) before and I just did the same thing: full purge. So something that deep even if it had been years nah im good immediately just too much for me. I dont need more bs in this life way, and its way too common for it to be about trust its pretty much if they actually respected you or not no matter what kind of situation the relationship was in. If I'm wrong then thats fine by me it shouldnt affect being there for my kid 🤷♂️

@Shufflingisahabit hmm I guess. Maybe changing the select screen to have operators sorted in columns based on what they do? That way new players might not know each individual op, but they know "ok, Ela, Lesion, Frost, and Fenrir under the entry denial category, while Kaid, bandit, mute, and tubarao are under wall denial" Right now my new player friends are confused by the wall of operators to choose from so maybe a setting like that would help?

@Shufflingisahabit yeah that's true but you have to actually select an operator in game for that to show, or view them in the operator page. If something like that was implemented even just as a setting to change it would make it a bit easier to just jump in and spend less time researching each op
