Rex promoting Tyborc instead of Demoting is great, really shows the nuance of the situation unexpected of the usually fatalistic attitude of the Imperium.

Inquisitors can be very smart individuals. Amberley Vail frequently employed fallen from grace individuals with very good talents like Flicker and she was a puritan inquisitor so as close as you could get a by the book one (won't even get into the fact that she knew exactly how deep Cain's facade went and even duplicitous by nature and wholly opposite the role of a Commissar she didn't execute him on principal as she understood his effectiveness despite his manifest deficiencies when it came to living up to the role in theory even if he bumbled into living up to it 30 times over in practice. The fact they would be paramours later too even shows that within 40k, within one of the most "shoot first, second, third and maybe fourth and then ask for an analysis of the remains" profession, there are individuals who can be of puritanical bent and yet know that the line is not straight, it serves the Imperium and the Emperor)

He still had him killed..... not even for the morale of future Saint-hood, but as a wet putty, stop gap measure for Terran propaganda to keep the ammo flowing into what has obviously become a Khornate, if not Nurgling gravity well of: "OH HELL NO........" If this was ANY OTHER Regiment besides the Death Corp, (And/or probably Cadia AS it broke) this would and has been grounds for the battlefield execution of the idiot in charge, for wasting good material..... This is why Rex measured everything carefully against a backdrop of the planet becoming a second Eye of Terror next TO the original Eye of Terror... I still mourn for everyone involved....

(related side note) I'm kinda glad Trazyn grabbed Creed, when he did. It would have crushed Creed, to have his men defend him against human and loyal elements of the Imperium who would have held him personally responsible for the fall of Cadia and see him executed for its fall, to say less of the Galaxy wide shenanigans to ensue.... Opening fire on some overweight dude with Cigar stains on his Uniform is still better than doing the same to An Emperor's Champion with the power of pouring a Star on you..... The Sanguinary wings did help...... This is also technically Pre-Girlyman, so epic-scale scapegoats are better than updating doctrine. Gilly personally executed every part of this problem, though 200 years later... Too late for Creed or a now otherwise black-hearted Astartes Lord.... And Creed slept through all of it, in a Xeno Cosplayer's fantasy diorama....

Tyborc is a Robocop of Vraks. Captured a fort with only his squad, 14 years of trench warfare, 4 times badly wounded, and a cherry on top deamon incursion. Most surprisingly he survived it and I don't mean the deamon part but the thing after which is Ordo Maleus policy towards witneses.

Well the Ordo Xenos and Maleus are increasingly moderate nowadays since the rift is far too large to cover up and now we work together with some Xenos regularly. The Ordo Hereticus though remains batshit crazy

​@MiketheMadness All the time. Even lesser daemons can go from being felled by melta fire to shrugging off lasgun fire like rain. Bloodletters are particularly ferocious as lesser daemons go, so unfortunately for our kriegsmen-cards were stacked against them from the start.

@@MiketheMadness Not possible. The daemons assault only lasted a couple minutes. Artillery would literally be hitting open dirt-with the daemons having already slaughtered the kriegers and vanished. Same goes with air support-daemons are gone before the first aircraft are on station. Oh, and they had armor support on Vraks. Daemons pry open tanks like tin cans, let alone daemons with astartes support. It seems like you're just bitching to bitch, without actually caring about the situation at hand.

What I love about the forgeworld campaigns is that astartes aren't the invincible fighting force as portrayed in normal 40k. Ten marines will not magically end the battle alone.

Im just imagining the Death Korps like "Aight I roll up" while the entire Citadel is just LIT UP like a birthday cake for a 1,000-year old geriatric. In the middle of all these explosions you also have the gunfire being exchanged from BOTH sides and anyone and everyone around you on the east side is suddenly just ON FIRE and the Red Armor starts POURING out of the entrance to the keep, and as theyre beating your ass and half your face is on fire, and your left arm is blown off by a bolter round...suddenly you see Daemons spawning in from their rifts, faces and bodies lit by all the fire and explosions, and you and your buddies blood is just getting thrown about like its a Mexican Quincianera and somebody popped the Pinata. And you just hear your leader yelling "FUCK IT. RUN!!!!" Like "BRO. I DONT HAVE ANY LEGS LEFT TO RUN. THEYRE MISSING!" And then youre dead and you have a Bloodletter licking whats left of your face and shit. Holy shit 40K is awesome. XD

After watching the fort A-453 episode i decided to paint my krieg army as 261st regiment. Now two years later and with a big krieg model release wave on the way, im glad to see that Tyborc and the 261st got all the way to the citadel and started the final push before being disbanded, I definitely made the right choice in my favourite krieg officer and his regiment

the thing that screams Krieg more than anything is how they would fire various amount of artillery at the Shields just to see how effective they would be. I can just imagine they came up with the numbers for the amount needed. Kriegers are known for their Math after all
