If anyone is communists, it would be the Craftworld Eldar. They live in giant communes and have no currency. The T'au by having a caste system automatically means they're not communists. They're more like feudal Japan with the fire caste being the samurai, earth caste being the farmers and builders, etc.

Communist countries definitely have caste systems and hierarchy. Depends on how you define a caste system. That’s communism in reality. Now the BS unicorn Communism that “has never really been tried bro” that might not have a caste system. But that is a pipe dream, real communism is pretty much no different then fascism. Tau are definitely not communists 😂 they literally have hierarchy and caste system and their own gods like India. They literally operate the same way feudal Hindu kingdoms functioned. Even their aversion to mele is typical of Indian warfare method that though valued strength did put too much value on long ranged warfare method and even have entire religious text on the same called Dhanurveda which literally translates to science of archery/long ranged combat.

You erroneously imply that Communist nations have never had a form of "caste system". Every Communist country on earth that has been made up of different ethnic groups have naturally segregated themselves (or were forcefully made to do so). And there has definitely been a group of people, often by blood or military tradition, who have held the top offices within it's government. Also, the Tau have never had a pantheon of "gods". There is the warp entity known as the goddess T'au'va, but she is primarily a response to the Humans, Kroot, Nicassar and Charpactin that were inducted into the Tau empire rather than something believed by the Tau themselves. The vast majority of actual Tau believe T'au'va to be an abomination and insult to their ideology. Only Shadowsun's unit of Firecaste and the Farsight Conclave even show her some form of leniency and allow her worship. And that was only AFTER T'au'va came her their aid multiple times and proved her worth to the Tau empire. Dude, it's like you know nothing of world history or Warhammer 40K lore.

0:23 - Whilst Tau tech is undoubtedly advanced and high level, I think the most advanced technology status has to be given to the Necron; though tbf they have had like 20,000 times longer to work on such things! :D

Video was good for the most part but at the end like 90% of what you said isn’t cannon. The sterilisations have only happened once, and that was in the dawn of war campaign and has never happened again and that ending isn’t even canon. Ethereals value their tau more then any other faction values their people it’s just when it comes down to having to make a choice they are not afraid to sacrifice the few to save the many. Also tau don’t get forced to relocate to over places they volunteer and the other races that are part of their empire either don’t want to use battle suits or can’t. Also the tau being communist has no base at all it literally comes from one major kill video and even he said it’s wrong

If im not mistaken, I remember seeing a different vid on the tau where it said they absorbed some of the “squats” into their empire, but now warhammer 40k has the league of votann which means idk, I just thought that could be some key info.
