They should really find something other than "laminar" to describe this. There's very little in a suppressor that is laminar, especially with those flat baffles. Maybe use "axial", or "coaxial" to describe the flow-through portion,... or did someone else already coin that,... It's interesting that a bunch of flat baffles can compete. I think manufacturers are finding that "stripping" the air isn't really a requirement, and a blunt face can help with tone. The other main thing is asymmetry at the bore.

the serious deviations in ejection pattern make me wonder if that's a suppressor problem or a headspace issue

Great video as always! I'm surprised they didn't go with a slightly larger diameter tube with their can....sounds good but IMHO, it could be better. Thoughts?
@Siege.Suppressors20 күн бұрын
We will be developing other products in the 1.75" diameter product category. With our first production silencer we wanted to have a silencer that could dimensionally compare to a lot of the 5.56mm offerings on the market.

Is the OCM5 worth purchasing for a WOA 18" SPR or would the Huxwrx be better?

Less back pressure than baffled cans...but can you run stock AR without having to tune gas system? With the new full flow type cans out there that make it possible to attach and go without having to tune the gas system, I'm not sure why anyone would buy anything other than the full flow cans. I'm will be getting a Hux flow7.62ti. Might get a traditional can for my bolt actions, but don't see a scenario where I would put a traditional can on a semi. Just shot a friends 300 bo with a traditional can, after a few shots, you didn't want to be anywhere near that action. Takes the fun out of shooting.

Yes. Notice the ejection pattern on both of Adam's rifles. Ejection pattern stays consistent at 3-4 o'clock position during fire on the 16" Geissele, and ejection pattern moves slightly forward after the ROC556 is attached on the short barrel MK18. Adam can correct me if I am wrong but both of these guns are fixed (non-adjustable) gas blocks.

There is no reason why any suppressor should cost upwards of $1000 this is absolutely insane! Only in America will someone pay 3 times what a product cost because someone on U tube says it’s a great deal. What is wrong with you people stop paying these guys for this shit oh I get a free tax stamp though….. you have been giving this guy money on patreon for years with your hard earned money for him to tell you it’s ok to buy!! @SquirrelHunter1 So you don't have your own personal cell phone, only a company phone? What do you do when you're not with that company anymore? I have to assume you own things that cost you money, and if so, you get something in return for what you pay for. If you don't feel Adam is worth your money, you're free to think so. You're also free to share that opinion here. As dumb as your opinion sounds to most all of us who do, in fact, see it as worth our money as I'm sure you see whatever you pay for in life equally worth your money. That said, Troll elsewhere unless you live under a rock, and or everyone pays for all the nice things you have.

@@ryaldeveau207 I offer over 20+ industry discounts to my Patreon members that support the channel. You’re here watching a free video not supporting the channel and you’re crying about it. Let that sink in. Filming, ammo, editing, time isn’t free yet here you are, complaining. I couldn’t care less what you think so there’s that. Go watch other free videos on KZbin. PS: All of the gun channels you watch have Patreon pages. None of them offer discounts to “pay back” their members. Cope harder.
@Clemonsds19 күн бұрын
@ryaldeveau207 Do you have a cell phone, cable TV, or perhaps a streaming subscription even? All are paid subscriptions that you get a perk. AKA receiving something in return. Adam works very hard putting out these reviews, and for those of us who support that work, they also do so with our money. Just as Adam said, other youtube channels offer memberships, but without product discounts. You might get a good shirt or patch, or the ability to interact with the youtuber to ask questions. With a huge list of discounts for the products you're looking to buy anyway, why wouldn't you become a member? When you support someone, you do so without the idea of getting something in return, but with Adam, you get more than your money's worth. I think you're just a Troll that needs to move along.
