PTR VENT 2 - Not All 9mm Suppressors Are Created Equal!

PSA: Upon field stripping the B&T APC9, it was apparent that an undercharged round had squib'd in the barrel and the following shot caused an overpressure in the barrel from the obstruction causing the casing to explode. It sent pieces of shrapnel into the grass, lower fire control group, and chamber. The trap door on the bottom of the grip also blew open. I was unable to dislodge the projectiles from the barrel. I want to commend B&T on building such a stout chunk of a firearm. It no doubt saved me from serious injury. I will contact them this week and see about getting a new barrel installed in the SMG. My ears also finally stopped ringing. I'll update this post as I get updates from Fiocchi and B&T. Thanks for watching!

Had that happen with a 1911. Legit the concussion felt like a bomb went off in the hands. showered shrapnel all over arms hands face and chest. It was a nice 1911 too. You got lucky sir it's no fun bleeding from 20 spots on your face after your bell gets rung😅

Knock on wood, never had this happen.glad you made away relatively unscathed. Scary as I also have this same ammo and just bought my first transferable. Think I may stay away from it for now.
